This place is pretty good. I'm always happy to add another halal place to eat in my books. When I first came, I was confused at the layout. Half the restaurant looks like a doctor's waiting room. I think they were trying to shoot for relaxed and comfortable but it doesn't really fit. And they originally had a lava lamp (?) for decor, but since then they have removed it, thank God. It would be nice to have regular tables to sit at, especially for families. You can't really eat a meal at a coffee table. And the stools are way too high for young kids.
The food is great. They've also expanded the menu since I came when they first opened. I like ordering the gyro fries or gyro salad. The sauces are delicious. I wasn't too impressed by the juices and noticed they downsized to a tiny cup. I also think the chicken wings are overpriced but they're still delicious.
I'd definitely go back especially since halal restaurants in Seattle with quality food are hard to come by. Especially ones that aren't all Mediterranean food or Somali food.
Edit: My new favorite meal is the crispy chicken. And I love their house sauce. Can't get enough!
Owners are really friendly and accommodating.
The furniture has been updated since writing my original review and it's a major upgrade! So glad they got rid of the outdoor...
Read moreI went here for the first time today to pick up a smoothie for someone. I have driven/walked past it numerous times not giving it much thought, as it is a style of food I generally don't care for. I was pleasantly surprised when the lady (whom I am to assume is either the owner or related to the owner) quickly got up from where she was sitting and was enthusiastic to greet me! I ordered the smoothie I originally intended to get, only to realize I was about a dollar short. The lady said "don't worry about it." She was so nice about the whole thing and treated me as if I was a VIP! Not only did she not mind about being short, but to my surprise she handed me a treat to take with me! I asked what this delicious triangular pastry sort of thing was and she said Baklava! I told her I had heard of it but never had the opportunity to try it. I'm glad hers was the first one I had!! I will certainly be going back there VERY soon! The service was better than I could have imagined and the items I got to try were simply AMAZING!!! A must go if you enjoy great service mached with...
Read moreUpdate: On Thursday, August 10, we placed an internet order to pick-up at 7pm. Got there 15mins to 7pm and they were closed. However, my money was taken from the account. I thought they would be honest, good people, and return my money because they know their establishment was closed. This, however, didn't occur. I've called numerous times to speak with the owner to correct this. She is never there! I've called at different times, and I emailed a message to her via the website. This is why it is hard to support small businesses due to these unsavory business practices. I will be telling everyone that you are not honest.
All I wanted was my money back because no product was received 😪.
Side note my sister introduced me to this place because she frequents it and engages with the owner. I myself have had conversations with her and her brother about my relocating to the area and looking for places/areas to be in. I I haven't told my sister of this because I didn't want to sour that relationship as she has brought...
