Where do I begin…man on man, it’s a 10 star for me. Fortified Fitness was my saving grace after moving to Seattle from Colorado last Fall. I ended up joining the group fitness classes in the evenings and was quickly challenged and loving it. It’s a personal training gym, which is SUCH a breath of fresh air. Everyone who walks through the door does so with intention, they’re committed to getting stronger. After a few months of group classes I decided to go back to personal training and signed up with Bobby. He was nothing short of spectacular in every way a coach could be. He challenged me, was incredibly encouraging, and super nice! He’s easy to get along with, highly skilled and always professional. I’d arrived to Fortified after working with a different PT in Colorado and quickly fell back into the rhythm and lingo with Bobby. If your PT’s aren’t speaking the same language somethings not right, Bobby knows what he is doing 100% and will make sure to get you to where you want to be physically. I’m 37 years old, never in my life had I thought I could life the weight that I was lifting after a few months of PT with Bobby. I’ve never been in better shape. Group PT is fun also, you make friends quickly and no matter your shape or size everyone is SUPER welcoming when you walk in the door. I’ll admit, it can be very intimidating walking in for the first time, like the new kid at school. I promise you, you will not regret this decision. There is no other place like this in the greater Seattle area. Recently, I moved from Renton to downtown Seattle and sadly had to discontinue my time at Fortified due to my new work schedule. I have a plethora of gyms around me currently and have yet to find one that’s as challenging mentally and physically as Fortified. I mean that in the best way possible of course, I wasn’t there for easy…that’s for sure! 99% of the time I would leave my session feeling like a million bucks and the following day have some perpetual soreness but that’s a sign of growth which is what I was there for. I can’t thank Bobby enough for the amount of time ( 3 hours a week) he put in for me, and the guidance that was given. In the meantime I’ll just keep pestering him to open a second location in downtown Seattle so I can sign up again!! I’m telling you, if you’ve been scoping them out and teetering on the idea of reaching out…STOP thinking about it and just commit. You absolutely will...
Read moreI recommend Fortified Fitness if you are looking for a small gym with a friendly community and want to get specific results from your workouts. I have been training with Bobby for a few years now, along with attending some of the morning classes. Both have helped me generate new muscle and increase my max lifts across many free weight exercises (and this is at age...gulp...48).
In addition, I recently attended Bobby's new series of golf specific swing speed workouts. As a long time golfer I had always aspired to increase my swing speed (as we all do), but was not sure how to go about it. The combination of golf specific drills and weighted swing exercises, along with focused weight training and flexibility stretching, helped me increase my driver swing speed from 94-95 MPH in week one, to 106-107 MPH in week eight, which I was thrilled with. Worth the time and money, and more importantly, something I can repeat on my own to keep my...
