A wonderful place for your writing or wrapping needs. Paper Source was founded in 1983 by Susan Lindstrom in Chicago, Illinois. As of 2025, Paper Source operates 117 stores across 28 states. In 2021, Paper Source was acquired by Elliott Management Corporation, the owner of Barnes & Noble. Their Facebook site states, “We inspire you to Do Something Creative Every Day!” and I believe it. It seemed that they had something for everyone. I first visited one of these stores in Old Town Alexandria and immediately liked them. The store in Reston, Virginia, is a wonderful spot for anyone passionate about crafting, stationery, or unique gifts. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere filled with neatly organized shelves showcasing a wide variety of products in lots of colors and styles. From beautiful wrapping papers and greeting cards to journals, planners, and writing and crafting supplies, the store has something for everyone. The store layout makes it easy to browse and discover new items, whether you're looking for a specific product or just exploring. During my visit, the staff were friendly and eager to help, offering suggestions and assistance without being intrusive. They seemed knowledgeable about their products, which made for a pleasant shopping experience. The quality of their products is excellent, making it a go-to place for high-end paper goods and unique finds. Their items can be a bit pricey but the quality and uniqueness justify the cost. Overall, Paper Source in Reston is a charming store that’s perfect for anyone looking to add a personal, creative flair to their...
Read moreIn the past, I always liked Paper Source for their unique little gift cards and fun little gifts. I visited the Paper Source in Reston on Wednesday evening and had nothing but a $100 bill on me. I purchased a Congratulations on Graduating card for about $3.75 and was checked out by a new employee who was trained by a young woman there with short black hair and painted eye brows. This young woman had the nerve to start making negative comments about me at the checkout complaining about why I paid with cash and that they shouldn't take it. Completely rude and unprofessional which turned me off significantly. She had the audacity to smile to my face and wish me a great day after being quite rude behind the checkout. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Paper Source or recommending anyone else visit the Reston store due to this fake and...
Read moreReally disappointed! We found the perfect wedding invitation on the website but there was a glitch that wouldn’t let us view the final product. My mother went to the store for help and they were really unfriendly, unhelpful, and dismissive towards her. We were excited with what we had picked out but apparently we are a huge bother and they aren’t interested in being nice, let alone answering questions and they won’t give you an appointment for several weeks when you ask for help. No thanks!!! What kind of place is mean to...
