Primary Rhinoplasty performed August 2016 by Dr.Naderi. My top complaints where: -deviated septum -bulbous top -bump on my nose. My profile is nice, but that’s only part that is nice.
My chief complaints now are: -Uneven nostrils -Valve collapse, making breathing even More difficult than before. -Various asymmetries of the nose. (Dr. Naderi attributes to shrink wrapping)
This has required me to seek out a secondary rhinoplasty to fix the cosmetic and functional aspects of my nose as a result of surgery by Dr. Naderi.
1mo. Post-op: I was “happy” with my nose there was still considerable swelling, and asymmetry. All I reassured was normal.
6 mo post-op: still okay, still swollen. I brought up my left nostril felt “blocked”. Asymmetries still persisted which reassured was swelling.
1 year post-op: not exactly happy. Dr. Naderi explained my nose has “shrink wrapped”. Did not once seem concerned with reiterating once again the left side felt blocked and difficult to breathe through.
2 years(or more) post-op: Dr. Naderi met with me for a possible revision. My lack of confidence in him happened when he failed to confirm I had a valve collapse due to surgery.
My confidence in this doctor to repair what he had damage was lost when he only attributed my appearance to shrink wrapping and did not acknowledge the collapse.
Dr. Naderi, I never asked for my nose to be smaller or more narrow or more “perfect”. I simply wanted to breath and have a normal looking nose.
Personally I’d like to address this statement, “Listening to other doctors who may be too eager to bad mouth a great surgeon.” No doctor has “bad mouth,” Dr. Naderi, as i have simply withheld that information. I have went to ENTs (not plastic surgeons) in hopes to just undergo surgery to repair the functional aspect of my nose to enable me to breathe. All have recommended that a see a plastic surgery with credentials that they have outlined for me.
Now let’s address: Lets address the issues you brought up: 1) We routinely remove casts anywhere from 5 to 10 days after surgery. A cast coming off 1-2 days early or late makes very little difference in the long term result. There have been a handful of patients who developed an allergic reaction to the cast tape and we were forced to remove their casts as early as 3 days after surgery with no issues. The cast was coming off a bit earlier, because he was leaving for vacation, this was a conversation had in front of me. I point this out as it was a bit concerning to me. Along with this I had not reactions to tape, and I know of several people who Naderi worked on that were given taping instructions. Once again it was a point of concern, and why the instructions weren’t provided to me was never explained.
-2) You loved your nose when the cast came off. That was the nose he created for you.
My cast came and I was.....confused. It was huge and swollen. I didn’t know how to feel, but the slope of my profile was nice. Loved is too much of a strong word.
-you were happy at your one year follow-up and even signed the photo release consent for us to display your before and after results.
I signed for my photos to be used and that was signed at the time of my cast removal(maybe before) and the day of my cast removal is the photo that was used on Instagram.
-Your nostrils were also much less symmetric before surgery and they were much better at the one week and one month and even one year follow-ups.
This is absolutely untrue. They are different “shapes” now. Now is more curved and one straight. Sitting at different levels.
-But you shrink-wrapped aggressively. That is it. That is the whole issue. That is why you are unhappy
I did shrink wrap aggressively, but I also have a valve collapse that has never been acknowledged and several asymmetries.
Dr. Naderi you canceled my last consult because of my review. Which was not malicious, but it is a review as to what happened to me as a result of surgery by you. You could have kept the consult and spoke with me, but you...
Read morei wanted to express my gratitude for dr. naderi AND his staff (ie the staff both in the office AND in the hospital) for being ABOVE AND BEYOND professional, knowledgeable, polite, reassuring, confident, and all around pleasant. i am glad to represent the #NaderiNose and each day, i am excited with my results more and more. dr. naderi, you and your team have exceeded my expectations from day 1. from just speaking to your staff over the phone back in july to book my consultation, to speaking to mary the day before my surgery to have concerns/anxiety/etc addressed (shout out to you, girl!), to the medical staff who also praises and respects you, it’s very apparent that you set high standards for not only yourself, but also who gets to represent you on your wonderful team.
of course every meeting i’ve had with dr. naderi has been nothing but pleasant, but as i reflect back, my favorite part of this journey has been the consultation with dr. naderi and the pre-op, hands down. (back-story: as the days were counting down until the consultation, i did HEAVY research on the medical professional who would be “changing my life” forever, so to speak. i remember in one of his youtube videos, dr. naderi mentioned that whenever a patient is expressing their concerns and when he’s “studying their faces,” he has an idea of what to do; when he is working on the computer imaging, the idea starts coming together; and even when actually doing the surgery, he simply knows what he’s doing and how to make his idea mostly come together.) what i remember at the consultation is dr. naderi simply impressing me with his bedside manners and his knowledge. i NEVER once felt rushed, nor felt stupid for asking the questions i did ask. and it was apparent that what he had mentioned in one of the youtube videos was true. i also remember asking him about some “what-if’s” — not only did he experiment with the what-if’s, but he talked me out because he was HONEST about what he could do, what he can’t, what would look flattering, how my other features (chin, forehead) would be affected, etc. (can you imagine that? a doc having the opportunity to make loads of extra cash but having the moral integrity in the end!?) i walked out both times SO happy, that i was ACTUALLY excited for my surgery and anything but nervous. i knew i had made the right decision, and that i would be in good hands. dr. naderi was my first and only surgeon i saw, and i think that should speak volumes.
doc, i could write a whole novel on my experience, interactions, etc with you. just know that i appreciate all the time you have devoted to me at each and every single one of your meeting, that i am appreciative of your hard work and maintaining my natural features, and that i appreciate you running your practice with such integrity and honesty. continue flawlessly...
Read moreI know all the anxiety and heartache that goes along with the search for a right doctor for a nose surgery. I have been through massive research and millions of doubts before I found Dr. Naderi. Anybody that is reading this review and considering a rhinoplasty or septoplasty with him, I wish I can tell you in person: rest ALL your doubts and anxiety, you have found the best doctor!!! Rest assured that he will give you the perfect nose you are looking for, he is the doctor you can trust. I have been through it and had my doubts before making the decision, but want to tell everybody that with Dr. Naderi there is no reason to be. He is truly a master of his work. Besides being an expert nose sergeant, he has a sophisticated taste and eye for the exact nose that will match your facial features perfectly. I have a longer face, and was not looking for a small upturned nose, I absolutely love the way it came out. I live overseas so, after the initial consultation, I actively started following Dr. Naderi’s work via social media and Youtube, I did my due diligence in researching the doctors across the world and by the time I made a decision I already had complete trust in him and his work. I flew in a week before the surgery and stayed in the states for 4 weeks post surgery. I trusted and followed all of his recommendations and detailed instructions that Emily (my surgical scheduler) laid out for me before and after surgery, there were times during the recovery when I was not sure it would come out right, but I did follow them and now know that he knows exactly what he is doing from A-Z. There was no need to be nervous at all. All of my friends and family love my new nose and now have a doctor that they can confidently go to if need be, with my full recommendation. I wish I had someone like that before I made the decision. I am really happy with the decision. I am very thankful to Dr. Naderi and his professionalism and expertise and all the hard work he puts in every single patient. And I also love Emily for all the care, assurance and comfort she provided and made the whole process seem so...
