Roosevelt Park — Attraction in Richfield

Roosevelt Park is pretty great. The playground right next to the parking lot is awesome. I really like the new style merry go round, it can't go "50" mph like the ones of my childhood, but it's extremely engaging.

The baseball fields were full, and looked great.

The Basketball court was in good condition, and was getting good use.

The tennis courts look like fun.

There is a pretty useful concessions stand right next to the playground.

Didn't have to look for the bathroom while we were there, oops. I bet that there is one in the concessions...

Pros-- ummm well the ball parks are nice, so Baseball/Softball cool but that's it

Cons - Messy, dirty, and unhealthy... its a ruff park area to be around, do not bring kids to play. this is not a park for kids. Due to the low income housing and immigrant population that has flooded the area in the last 5-10 years its a park to leave alone at night. During the day do not plan on feeling like you can let your guard down

Xtra- its really nice place to be...

Some of our kids wanted to play tennis and another one or two wanted to play on a playground or climb trees. This park met your criteria. There's not a lot of shade, but we went mid morning so it wasn't too hot.

The playground isn't the most exciting, but it worked for what we needed. I don't think we'd come here if we're looking for a...
