Andale Mercado (Market) in Andale Taqueria & Mercado — Local services in Richfield

I used to live in Bloomington when this was opening and thought it was a nice market and restaurant. I moved and hadn't gone back in years and was recently there a couple weeks ago to show someone the store. We had a horrible experience. The staff was nice. Helpful and all smiles. The shelves were organized. Whoever was the manager or supervisor there on duty (woman with dark brown hair and wore glasses) ruined the experience. I watched and listened to her during our time there hush-rushing the staff who were already doing the things she was asking of them. At one point once we were ready to check out she opened up an extra register to speed things up, but she was not paying attention at all to the transaction. Never made eye contact and rang items as she kept her head turned watching the deli employees help customers and telling them to do things. I tried to get her attention 3 times during the transaction and she would turn and "mhm" me. My question was if they accepted EBT for grocery items and since she said "mhm" I proceeded to try to swipe the card. It wasn't until the 3rd time that I asked her again that she said they didn't accept it. Totally fine so I pulled out a credit card to finish the transaction. Once the transaction cleared she took the receipt, turned around, walked away, and threw it in the garbage while starting to yell at other staff. No eye contact, no thank you, no offering to give me the receipt (yes, I do actually look over the receipts). I actually stood there for a moment with my mouth open on how rude this person was to their staff and to the customer. My review is from years of shopping there not just a 1 time thing. First always check what you're buying including meats to vegetables and expiration days. Always and I mean always check your receipts before leaving the parking lot otherwise you will have to come back for a return. My husband got overcharged for cheese like 20 dollars and didn't notice because he was in such a rush. 1 occasion I purchased raw chicken and when I got home it was expired I notice the smell right away when opening the bag. This past week I purchased cactus and the ones on the middle where not very fresh like the ones outside. This is a small Mexican market alongside the taqueria. It’s located next door. There is a bakery and tiny grocery store with meat department. There is one sign but 2 businesses. The prices are very expensive after the pandemic. It’s like buying gold now. I like the grocery store but the prices are up by at least 35%.
