Store items are way over priced. They receive all items for free. Yes they do have labor costs. Sorting and pricing. So do all the other thrift stores. They don't charge $7 for a dress. A pack of notebook paper in a cheap binder $1.99. Base speakers $24.95, amps $40 -$50. Small tots bikes $20. Their prices are higher than goodwills. Some people shop thrift stores because they dont have a lot of money. This store is way out of price range. Store stayed open for donations the whole time covid-19. They received semi trailers full of items. The community has been very generous. They dont specically state what % they donate to any non profits (which ones they donate to) and what % they donate to community projects (what projects they donate to). And with their prices they should be donating a decent sum to them. They site skips around their community donations. They mention it to get the donations we feel. You hear the words give to the community and people of course love it. Who wouldn't. The community is also the people who shop at thrift stores and those who are on a very tight...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePrices have gone way up. And now they seem to be having a private shopping event. 3 people in the store yet they have turned away 4 customers trying to get in claiming closed early due to "bad weather" when there is no precipitation. Will be shopping elsewhere from now on. Goodwill didn't close the door in my face. *Editing to add that I shop thrift stores very frequently, the prices at this place have climbed fast, and you only find a good deal once in a while. I used to buy full carts of stuff, now for the same price I get a few items. Craft item prices the last few visits have been priced near new. You assumed I based it my preference to stop shopping on this last trip, but it was just the last straw. My boyfriend already gave up on you up due to the price increases a few months ago, I liked the store so I stuck it out. Tell yourself whatever you want, but you are losing business. There is a newer place on Lee that is friendly, clean, and has good prices, I just will go there and Goodwill. Honest feedback, take it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am semi retired and wanted to find something fun, but also educational for my daughter and I to do together. Sheās 14 and enjoys shopping for antiques, so thrifting was a natural fit for a healthy hobby. We also created our own online store to sell some of our most unique finds, but also to teach my daughter real commerce and customer service. Community Thrift has been one of our favorite local businesses to shop. The staff is friendly and no non-sense professional. The owner has even taken his valuable time to get to know my daughters favorite finds...such as ā Hello Kittyā. This is great local business that I highly recommend visiting,...
