A & F Seafood Deli — Attraction in Richmond

First time here today and it’s definitely among my favorite RVA restaurants now and will probably be my go to seafood/deli spot from now on. They’re still in soft launch mode and I’m excited for when they’re fully open to see what else they’ll have.

Got a 1/4 lb Mediterranean grilled shrimp, 1/4 lb fried shrimp, and some fish they were kind enough to throw in for me. All spectacular and reasonably priced. I’m especially a fan of the grilled shrimp, it went well with the toasted pita I chose (instead of Texas toast). The fried foods were all well-fried and cooked - not greasy either. I have some old bay I tossed on at home and it was perfect.

The hot sauce was perfect and the other sauce I got were both good too.

They were super nice on the phone and walked me through what they had available. I got there with a few minutes to spare and it was fresh and hot, made to order after just a few minutes as expected. Just as nice in person and really accommodating.

I was talking about how hard it is to find fresh delicious seafood in this area and my daughter's friend Michelle told me to try this place. She said it wouldn't disappoint and oooooooh boy was she right. When I first walked in I was a little hesitant because it didn't look very glamorous or anything. But I decided to still give it a try and I'm so glad. I order two pieces of grilled salmon, one chicken kabob, six shrimp, and a fish sandwich. Everything was scrumptious. The seasoning was perfect. The salmon was grilled the perfect amount and I loved how smoky black it was. The chicken kabob off the skewer was so yummy and the sauce it came with was the bomb. Definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting yummy fish at...

I'll change stars when I try them next month after the soft opening. In the meantime...

I got the grilled red snapper with extra peppers and onions. That was sooooo good. Really really good. Beautifully seasoned and char!! I got it head on. This is a WHOLE FISH so there are bones!

Companion got the fried branzino. He loved it. Totally loved it. Completely loved it! So I had to try and and I'm getting it next time!!

You pay by the pound. My snapper was big enough for 2 people. His was big enough for 1½ people. Mine was about $21 and his about $17

And there are shrimp $21 per pound. And po boys including oysters. Menu is still being developed and everything is cooked to order at...
