I've put off reviewing this place for the better part of a year, but tonight, I wanted to grab a 6-pack before midnight and their doors were locked at 11:43 PM. This place is a complete joke.
Been going here as a "last resort" type of place for the better part of 2 years. Nowhere else in the Manchester area stays open til midnight (McDonought market is open til 10 PM and they are a million times better)
Sketch location, been confronted by multiple people outside for money/food, including multiple who got slightly angry/annoyed and made me feel uncomfortable.
They don't really have price tags on ANYTHING. MAKE SURE you check your total before you pay. I've been charged 3 different prices for the same item in the same time period. The dude who runs the place is a complete jackass, who refers to you as "my friend" only until you ask about the standards/prices and then will immediately become cold. They never offer me a bag despite buying multiple items. I've bought IPAs (craft beer) that have a best by date of 2 months beforehand. They have ACTUALLY refused to give me a receipt before because it was "for one thing"
Will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I'm no snitch, but I'm tired of this, especially in this area when it comes to convenience stores. This area deserves...
Read moreVery nice & helpful business owners. Sure, the prices are way higher than going to a 7-11 or other big-name company, but what do you expect? They are one of maybe 3 convenience markets in the area that provide a full-range of goods. Their beer selection is amazing, and that alone is worth it.
The people who complain about the prices: Yes, it would 100% be better if they added price stickers, but this style of pricing is consistent at the majority of convenience stores throughout Richmond. Don't go here if you want to spend $5 on a bottle of orange juice. DO go here if you want a huge selection of tasty drinks & beer (Sometimes beer specials are going on - which is neat).
Until there's more competition in the area (hopefully soon), expect to pay high prices for the basic products you can find here. In general, if I'm wanting a simple drink or snack, I head to the Dollar Tree down the street or the...
Read moreSpend your money somewhere else. I have lived near this location for 3 years and their items are always overpriced. Due to them being in the local community, I endured their price gauging. Today was the last straw when the man working cashier told me to stop wasting his time because I spent 15 seconds checking and then asking to exchange the stale tobacco product he offered me. Not only are the prices ignorantly marked up, but now this employee has gone as far as to attempt to harass me into overlooking the negligent quality of their product, the uselessness of which they’re passing on to their patrons as if purchasing tobacco is a game of gambling. Not to mention the personal sized bag of lays chips I purchased was marked up a whole dollar. This is my last visit to this place. If they would act like this toward me, a patron of 3 years, imagine how they treat the less fortunate…...
