Terrible customer service . My family and I are firm believers of being a Nation and supporting our Phoenician and Nubian Brothers / Sisters business’s . So we came in and was told we could not order our food without a mask . FYI ( we went to two other restaurants not far from there and had absolutely no resistance when it came to buying our food without a mask ) so we talked about how ridiculous that rule was the cashier agreed and suggested we called in our order from outside the store. We called the establishment and the lady I spoke with seemed to have a attitude , her tone basically said our business wasn’t appreciated and she couldn’t care less about making us feel like valued customers . Before hanging up the lady asks “ your husbands going to pay when he gets here right ?“ 😑 I’m just like why do you feel you need to ask that ? No we are just going to come in and take food without paying . OF COURSE WE ARE GOING TO PAY! Like are you serious? So after experiencing so much of a battle on the phone my self was really saying do we want to give our money to an establishment like this ?? We ended up cutting our order short and only ordering one food item for our two young ones since we have been traveling for hours and they were hungry . On our walk back we were literally almost at the front door and our Higher Self said DO NOT GIVE ANY MONEY TO THESE PEOPLE . So me and my husband innerstanding our intuition discussed it and felt that we were not meant to give any business to people who are out of touch with LOVE for our people . We experienced a rude lady taking our order and she sounded like she expected the absolute worst of us . So the way I see it . You /Y’all which ever fits better , are ungrateful and need to shift the way you perceive people and maybe you’ll attract unexpected blessings instead of what ever it is your used to attracting that you projected on to us . Love yourself and respect yourself so others don’t have to deal with...
Read morePhilly Vegan was hyped up to me. I had a day chile so I put it on my plans. The customer service was good, I'll start on a positive note. I was told a special by the gentleman when I walked in which I later realized wasn't a special at all. Buy a Philly Supreme w/fries the shake is $5. It's my friends birthday and they ordered the burger w/fries, eggrolls and vanilla milk shake. I didn't want mushrooms on my Philly Supreme, which was a $1 up charge for NOT wanting something. That's ridiculous in my opinion. Their business policy that perhaps needs to be changed. The mushrooms are overload so I took all the meat out the sandwich, picked the mushrooms out and fixed the sandwich again. Back to the order, the lady taking the order read it back to me so fast and the total was $51. That's ridiculous for a fast food vegan place w/no tables I took everything off my order, but the sandwich and kept my friends order. When we got the food we realized the price was so high b/c I was charged for 2 meals, the burger was a meal and the eggrolls. We only wanted the eggrolls, not as a meal. The order was read back so fast we missed it, which may have been done on purpose. Anyway, we get home and the food was ok, but not worth these prices. My friend only took 3 bites out the burger and said it wasn't good. The eggrolls were good per my friend and the fries were ok. We weren't supposed to be charged for the extra fries, so we got them w/our order. My friends milkshake was good as well. As stated above I picked out every mushroom. I realize the mushrooms are a filler for the sandwich to use less vegan meat. I won't go back as I don't think the prices are worth it. I expected more for the hype. I was expecting to pay $30-$35...
Read moreI am a pescatarian so I like to try different vegan places. I had heard so many good things about Philly Vegan. I didn’t like the lack of parking options. I visited on a Friday afternoon for lunch with my husband and we circled around about 4 times until a park became available about 2 blocks away. We were expecting to dine in, however that was not an option as there are no seats, in doors and outdoor eating isn’t an option either. The customer service was great, so much so that my husband left a tip. I honestly would have given the food 5 stars but the apple egg rolls were cold and I think if the sauce was thicker oppose to being super liquified it would have coated the egg roll better. The cheese fries were good and hot but overly seasoned, almost a little too salty. The Supreme Cheese steak was good and very filling. It was so big I ate half for lunch and the other half for dinner. I don’t like mushrooms and I was disappointed that there was a $1.50 charge to remove mushrooms, crazy! Something about removing the mushrooms wouldn’t fill the bread up so more impossible meat would need to be added. I requested to sub the mushrooms to avoid the charge with onions but was told that wasn’t an option so we paid the extra. We also had the berry and strawberry lemonades which were good but they were $5 each; good, yes, worth $5 each, no! I most likely would not visit again but the service was good...
