I went to the Pig & Brew about two months ago during the day the food was really good but the service was subpar considering there was only one server for the entire floor. I assumed this was an anomaly and I wanted to try them again because as I said the food was pretty good and my friend was in town for her birthday and wanted to try somewhere new. We had a reservation for 7:30 but we we’re running behind luckily Timothy was able to get us seated quickly, thats where everything fell apart, before we could sit down something smacked my partner in the head after further investigation we we’re sat at a table with water dropping from the ceiling directly next to us and to my surprise there was only one waitress…. one waitress who took our order, brought us waters, and never even stopped at our table again. Which she doesn’t mind at all because they add a 20% gratuity. They advertised a “Power Friday” on the chalkboard which consisted of $9 casamigos shots and the waitress explained that we could have it made into a mixed drink. We all opted for that & when our drink arrived we all had the same problem, we felt as if our drink were too sweet & that there was too much syrup used. When my friend “THE BIRTHDAY GIRL” approached the bartender to explain that we were all unsatisfied with our drinks he insisted that we just wanted a shots, no we didn’t want a shots we wanted a properly made drink. My ribs and chicken were all room temperature, green beans were salty, and mac and cheese was congealed & dry. I really wanted to like this place but for $100+ to be treated rudely when my entire table expresses the same problem is disgusting. Why not ask how you could make it better rather...
Read moreWent for the first time with my sister last weekend and it was a HUGE disappointment. We shared the 3 meat trio...smoked chicken wings, ribs, and brisket...with collard greens and green beans. The fact that this is a barbecue spot that doesn't smell like barbecue cooking should've warned us. The food came out in a decent enough time, but wasn't hot. The green beans were salty, the collard greens tasted like they had opened a can of Glory Greens and just threw some pepper in it. The meat didn't taste like anything. How do you do that? The chicken and ribs were fall off the bone tinder, but didnt taste like anything at all. They were dry and wet at the same time. The brisket was also very dry without flavor. I wish i had taken a picture of their "barbecue sauce." I have never seen barbecue sauce that looked and tasted like ketchup with some vinegar or something in it before. To top off our experience, my sister and I decided it was time to leave. As I'm getting out my card to pay, a big roach crawled out on the wall behind where my sister was sitting. We immediately got up and ran to the door. Our waitress, who also saw this happen, went to tell the manager. I don't know who the manager was, but they did not come out to say anything to us. I quickly paid so that we could just leave. Beware of the terrible food, roaches, and the gratuity that is already added when you order your food. I spent WAY too much for horrible food and experience. We left most of it on the plate and had to go find something else to eat. I really don't like writing reviews, but this place had too many stikes for me. Just save your money and stomachs and find somewhere...
Read moreThis is the worst barbecue place that have ever stepped into. From the outside is lovely and the inside is in theme and done very cutely. My lunch partner and I purchase the three meat Trio. We got wings, ribs and brisket. The wings had to be gnawed off the bone because they were not cooked enough. The ribs were falling off the bone and absolutely tasteless with the worst low-grade barbecue sauce on it that you could imagine. The brisket was dry leathery strips of what appeared to be once a very good piece of meat. I don't believe smoke came anywhere near this meat because I certainly got a strong Liquid Smoke vibe. A use of seasonings as simple as salt and pepper previous to cooking this meat would have been a bonus. My lunch companion is positive that the meat was parboiled and then made to appear as barbecued Meats. She categorized it is waterlogged. $36 for three meats, we still had to buy sides. We chose cornbread and baked beans. The cornbread was mediocre, and the beans were straight out of somebody's low grade can with no additional seasoning or help to make them appear homemade. The service was definitely not with a smile or very courteous. There was no attempt to make this food great. In fact, it was not palatable. We were thoroughly disappointed and won't return or tell anyone...
