We went here only to play pool, at about 5PM on 2 Sept 2023. The lady that assigned us a table was beyond frazzled, but nice. We were greeted by a server upon arriving at our table, whom asked us if we wanted to order any drinks; when we declined, she brought us water because "it gets hot in here" (her words), which was very much appreciated. She did check on us once more, but otherwise just let us enjoy our games. Upon leaving, the girl that took our payment seemed pretty busy, but was still attentive and polite. The price per hour is acceptable ($15 from 5PM through the night), and they didn't charge us for a full second hour when we finished up after an hour and a half. This was a clean and well-maintained pool hall, and the tables were spaced apart well. A few downsides: there were a couple of kids, which I'm not used to as far as pool halls go, but I believe there is a set time as to when they can no longer come in and they were probably there to eat; we were assigned a table next to people already playing, when there were plenty of other tables not next to people, but the other players were respectful so it wasn't too annoying; and other customers in various areas were excessively loud and obnoxious - but that is not the fault of the establishment, of course. Great place, overall. We'll be back!

Along with the best pool tables you'll find in Albuquerque or Rio Rancho, the food is quite good too. I had a half pound burger with green chili and cheddar that was cooked to order and the green chili was better than I have found in most new Mexican food restaurants! And the best server you will find anywhere, Dallas!

Honestly it was such an older crowd and nothing wrong with that, but I was looking forward to mingling with some people my age and it seems like it's an older biker crowd. Which again if that's your thing nothing wrong with that. All in all though good service good beer.

Absolutely horrible establishment! My girlfriend and I were cussed out by a very drunk women at the bar who we did not know and were not speaking to at all began cursing at us and calling us names. It was brought to the bar tenders' attention multiple times before the bar tender informed us that I was the problem and told us we had to leave. I'm assuming the bouncers, and I'm assuming because they wore nothing to identify themselves as security then surrounded me when I asked to be refunded my money for being treated so poorly by other customers, the bar tender, and the bounce staff. Needless to say I was pretty angry and said some things in anger that I probably shouldn't have. However, the police were called and then I was assaulted by one of the bouncers for telling him I was leaving and never coming back. He grabbed my shirt in what I'm guessing was his attempt to physically throw me out of the bar. The thing is through the whole incident when these random guys were yelling at me and telling me I had to leave they also had me surrounded on 3 sides with the bar blocking any possible exit without physical confrontation with them which I was trying to avoid until I was grabbed. I'm far from perfect and will admit when I am wrong but y'all I didn't do anything besides defend my girlfriend from another woman who was obviously trying to start a fight with her and we are the ones who were told we were to problem and kicked out. If this was the last place on earth to serve alcohol I would...

I came in last night at around 11:30pm on July 22, 2013. My girlfriend and I ordered a sprite and coke and played pool. I put in 4 dollars into their Jukebox and over an hour passed and our music didn't play. There was hardly anyone in there towards the end and the music should have played. The waitress helped me with the jukebox when I had one credit left and didn't know what to do with it. I kindly and respectfully asked her if I could get my 4 dollars back. She said her manager Colin / Collen / Collin Colleen ... (spelling)? said no. In a very nice way I asked to speak with him. He came over and in a very intimidating and bullying way said that the machine isn't Slate Street's and that there was nothing they could do. He said there was no proof that I put in money. I explained that the customer is always right and that places like chuck e cheese and the movies refund with no questions asked when their machines fail. COLIN or COLLIN the manager kept stepping into my space while trying to intimidate me with direct eye contact and asking me if I was going to be a problem.. at this point I was nose to chest with him. I felt like he was going to hit me..such a bully. I have never had such a violating experience as this ever in my life. This manager Colin needs to be fired. I will never go back to SLATE STREET BILLIARDS in rio rancho ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! stay away..they are RUDE! I have to say that the bartender was very...
