First off, I want to start by saying that I am a busy person, and if I didn't feel strongly about my experience at Sport Clips, I wouldn't waste the two minutes it will take to type up this review. I initially stumbled into Sport Clips because I received a free haircut voucher for their Grand Opening, and it just so happened I was in a bind (go ahead, judge me for cashing in on the free haircut). I was ill prepared as my regular hair stylist was completely booked, and I had a formal business dinner that evening, so I found myself at Sport Clips. I was helped by a very lovely and beautiful young lady named Danielle, who exceeded my expectations and really came through. She was professional, courteous, and detail oriented. It was noticeable that she is a skilled hair dresser; one who enjoys her position, as she was very enthusiastic, and took great pride in her work. She made certain she knew exactly what I wanted out of a haircut, and her execution was right on point. During my initial visit I received the MVP treatment; and after getting my haircut, I was lead to another seat in the back where I was treated with hot towels, and a massage. I remember being very relaxing, and also that my pores felt rejuvenated and amazing afterwards. The entire experience with Danielle was perfect(hence the 5 star rating). This reflects on the Sport Clips organization; as apparently they will not settle for any run of the mill, average hairdresser just out of a beauty school program, where they were practicing hair cuts on mannequins bearing faux hair months earlier. I was paying $40 at the salon I used to go to regularly (yes, I still feel bad as it was a salon that I was loyal to for YEARS), but I paid a fraction of this price at SC (the second time I went to get a hair cut that is, as the first haircut was free like I'd mentioned). I don't find the need to spend $40 on a cut when I can get a better cut for significantly less. Honestly, I do make sure Danielle is working. I can't speak for any of the other girls working there, as I am a firm believer that if something is working, don't try and change it, but I'm sure they are good as well. If the owner/manager's standards are indeed clear cut across the board they won't disappoint. I highly recommend Sport Clips, and have already recommended them to a bunch of friends. Any questions, don't hesitate to send me an email. I don't work for SC, I just read a lot of reviews before I go out to eat for example, so I like giving my honest opinion so others can also make an...
Read moreWent there for the first AND LAST time, after going to SuperCuts for many years. The price of a "Varsity" haircut is posted at $18 (see photo). I asked for a #3 all around (in other words, a quick haircut). When I went to pay, they charged me $24, for the "Triple Play".
All I got was a hair-cut. No hot towel. No shampoo.
When I pointed this out, they still refused to correct the price - telling me that the "Varsity" is just for kids. As you can see in the attached photo - there's nothing that says that the "Varsity" is just for kids.
Oh, and when you try calling Customer Service - the mailbox is full. Why is that not shocking?
In the future, I will stay away from this dishonest business. I am going back...
Read moreI use to go to the Sports Clips in Northvale, but that got closed down unfortunately. Thanks, COVID! But, my boyfriend found a location in River Edge, which is about 15 mins from him. He got his haircut done by the same stylist, and not once has he complained. He then referred me to the same stylist, Siena, and she did amazing work. The precautions the staff takes to make sure everyone is safe, social distancing, etc, is amazing. I am very satisfied with my haircut, and highly recommend going to this location. Although they don't really advertise it, they do cut women's hair! So, ladies! If you want to get a haircut, definitely come by Sports Clips in River Edge, NJ and ask for Siena!...
