So, let's start with the atmosphere, a beautiful restaurant, but not set up well, tables are tight, for a steak house, it should be larger... Service, I was so hoping that we would not have an issue. Miguel was the waiter, he was friendly and somewhat informative, but for the money we would be spending, he was not as sharp as he should be. We asked about beer selections, and he very quickly rattled off the beers, but not if they were bottle or draft. With all the menus, there should be something written down, since it was not a very good list, so they obviously do not change. I will update the service as I go through the evening. It took almost 20 minutes to order and receive the cocktails/beer. Not a good start, the restaurant only had 3 tables, with 2 bartenders on duty, we only ordered a margarita, Old fashioned, and a beer (which, when it finally came, had no head/foam, and not a full glass), Old fashioned was good but sweet, the margarita came is a small round glass, looking like a water glass. The appetizers were ordered and took a good 30 minutes to arrive, my place setting was not on the table when I sat down, and it was supposed to be set for 6, my silverware finally came, so I could start eating, my wife's stuffed mushrooms were burnt on the bottom, and she said the filling was way over-seasoned. My octopus was good and tender, but not much else as far as flavor, spice, or anything other than the lemon to jazz it up. The long hots were "hot" spicy and tasty, Ceasar salad was good, and the meatballs were ok, nothing to rave about. various people came to the table and cleared the dishes. Now let's continue with the show. Table cleared, and ready for entrees to arrive. A new place setting came for my steak, and in ample time, the entrees arrived. I had ordered a glass of Philo something for $ 18.00 to come with the entree, well it arrived when I was halfway finished with my ribeye. At this point, I am so disgusted, I gave up. The desvription of the steak, was crunchy mixture of capers, on top and the steak served over a bed of wine broiled tomatoes. Imagine my surprise when it was all dumped over my steak, which was obviously the end cut, full of gristle and fat. So we did order some desserts and coffee, because, how bad could it get. LOL Sfogliatelle were warm, but chewy/doughy, not crunchy, and my double espresso, looked like coffee, and about 4-6 shots worth of espresso, not a double, and grinds down the side of the cup, just sloppy looking. The limoncello cake obviously bought, but taste the was OK. One of our guests had ordered an after dinner espresso martini, it came out after we were finished everything, and the restaurant was only us and 2 tables. One of our party went to the bathroom, and said the girl at the bar was too busy on her phone, and talking to the only person at the bar. OK my fingers are tired from all the typing, and this is aggravating me all over again. Not a good experience, and as a chef for 36 years, I am embarrassed for this place, and if it is still open in 6 months, I would be amazed. I am being generous by giving 2 stars at this point. Oh, and no manager to be seen all night. When the owner writes a response and says to come back for a 5 star experience, I will not come back on my own dime, you would have to comp this, just as a aside. If that was to happen, I would remove this review.

Don't go here. In my opinion, this place is a clip joint. My husband and I ordered Penne Arrabiatta with shrimp for $26. (See picture below.) Notice that the menu listed shrimp as an included *part* of the meal, not as an option that could be added for an additional charge. But when the bill came, they charged us $36 - 10 dollars more -- for each dish. The explanation? They claimed that shrimp was an option that we had selected at additional cost---even though the menu listed it as part of the meal that we were getting for $26. When we showed the menu to the bartender (Susan) and manager, they actually tried to defend this practice before relenting and admitting that the menu is misleading and, supposedly, the product of a misprint. But of course, they refused to adjust the bill, and that suggests to me that it was no misprint and is probably part of their general business practice.

I can’t count how many times I’ve passed this restaurant before going in, but I guess it was worth the wait. Building is beautiful, the bar is nice and welcoming, the staff are above and beyond amazing, the food and drinks were fantastic steak was cooked to perfection. The live music was superb. Miguel was an excellent waiter. I could go on and on about this place!

So Happy! This place is down the street from my house. Was very interested to see the change to Prime 259! Walked in on a Friday night with a few friends - the décor is sleek, modern, and yet has very clean lines throughout. Not too mention the bar stools were all changed to brand new custom look of a high end NYC lounge/bar look. Brand new sound system totally upgraded from the previous owners. Ok, let's get to the good parts now - menu is what is expected in Bergen County NJ - you pay for what you get people! Remember that! So the special menu was quite interesting not to mention the menu itself. My friends opted for the Fig Salad and the Crab cake appetizer as well as the stuff long hotts with risotto and sausage - OMG, who even does that in Bergen County?!?. The chef, Freddie made it a point to come out and greet us and ask if we wanted anything else or special custom made - we said no thank you, this seems to be an experience to come in itself - and BOY WAS IT! The crab cake was delicious - huge/full of crabmeat, not breadcrumbs! The long hots were so off the charts and cooked perfectly with a kick to it as it should be. The salad - My friend and myself were drooling from the mouth with the fresh figs and all that come into that salad! We had fabulous cocktails from the bartenders who rocked it, DJ was playing great music from the 80's, 90's and current - what more can you ask for?!? Ok - here we go - the main dinner - NY Strip Steak/Cacio de Pepe with Shrimp (literally shrimp on steroids, huge!!!) and Pork chop. Literally had the Brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, spinach, etc....we just ordered it all! The steak was like butter melting in your mouth - not an ounce of toughness or fatty pieces. Pasta was my total favorite and nobody and I mean nobody makes it like them! Thanks to the Owner, Bobby, who came by to say hello and introduce himself, recommended it with the yet again, massive size shrimps - so he told the chef to add it in for me! Yummy!!! Pork Chop was very very good and cooked to perfection! juicy and not dried out whatsoever! all the sides were just perfectly done and presented - very generous portions. At this point the place started to get very packed with people and the music was just playing in the background with the perfect song selections spinning all night......dessert was next - I thought how could we fit this in? But we did! Grilled/Roasted Pear??? WHAT????? Owner, Bobby, came over again and suggested it along with a warm chocolate fudge cake and OMG - ready? Homemade waffles with ice cream!!! Yes!!! I was like saying to myself, where am I? How can this be RiverEdge NJ - Bergen County!?!?! - Fabulous time and great and I mean great atmosphere - food/drinks/music and the place itself, I must say I have to give it 2 thumbs up with a snap! this place will go a long way I am sure - you really have to check it out yourself and be the judge - it is worth every minute spent and every penny. Check it...

My whole experience was a disaster! What a chaotic place! I consider myself a food lover, especially meats, so I had high expectations for this restaurant but everything from the beginning It was a disaster! I had to wait about 40 minutes for a Diet Pepsi that arrived after I had completely finished my appetizer A traditional French onion soup. It wasn't very tasty (I didn't eat it) we waited almost an hour for our main course, which cost about $75 and the meat arrived almost raw even though we asked for it. In the medium rare term. And it was a thin cut so there was no excuse for it to arrive raw to the table and wait for it for almost an hour. I literally feel like they took it out of the fridge and put it in m There is no room to walk. Too many tables and the waiters have to walk between the tables which makes you trip all the time.y plate! I felt like a turnstile in the middle of everything. Glasses and plates were falling and you just heard a hustle and bustle.A table dropped a plate with an appetizer on the floor and it was never picked up. We paid around $250 for a wine, a Diet Pepsi, two meats that we couldn't eat because They weren't even worth taking home. The whole moment was stressful! And reading a comment before mine, I felt like I was describing exactly how I experienced and felt in that place on Saturday. The whole service was slow and there were actually very few tables. Anyone who can save me from having this bad time in this place, I will. How do my friends know I'm a foodie And I frequently go to eat at different restaurants looking for the best food, the best service and atmosphere to enjoy and share, people ask me which new place to recommend and which not to?Prime 259 Italian steakhouse restaurant is definitely at the top of the queue to never go to. They offered us a free dessert for all the terrible service we had, which we did not accept because if it was so slow, how much longer to wait for something that no one can guarantee me is this good? And can I make up for all my bad experience in that place? I really wanted to run out of there and get rid of all the stress carried during these almost two hours! On the FB page when I rated it It is negative they only allow 25 characters so you cannot express your feeling and experience completely. But when it is a good comment they allow up to 1000 characters! (Very convenient)But here on Google where I have all my reviews I can write a little more about how terrible the place is! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL! NOT GOOD FOOD, NOT GOOD SERVICE,...
