Habit Burger & Grill — Restaurant in River Edge

I am a person who likes to support neighborhood business. This is especially true of businesses that have a high employment rate of young people (be they college students or otherwise). Giving our young generation a financial start in life is very important.

That said, I do expect to receive a level of quality deserving of my hard earned money.

I shop frequently in River Edge and was happy to see that a restaurant would be opening in the small enclave.

I had shopping to do yesterday and saw the restaurant was now open. I ordered the Char Burger and French Fries. The French Fries were nothing special with regard to flavor. However the Char Burger was completely INEDIBLE!!!! The Burger was pink inside!!!! I brought it back to the ordering counter and showed the young man. He replied with "oh so you want it well done? I said "if this is considered cooked then yes well done please". I went back to my table and not even 5 minutes later a young man brought another burger to me. I said that is very quick for what should be a well done burger. I checked it before he walked away and that burger was also pink inside!!!! I showed the young man. I then told him to please have the cook "burn the burger" if that is the only way to not continue getting near raw meat. The 3rd burger came as quick as the second and it took was pink inside!!!! 😞😞

Also the quality of the meat was very poor.( A high content of gristle rather than lean meat)

So, the restaurant received $12+ of my hard earned money and I received a tiny order of French Fries that were of poor quality!!!! I didn't have time to get on the line to request a manager because I had to get to work. I had nothing to eat until I got back home!

Is this lack of quality and service Habit Burger is satisfied rendering to their customers?? I believe in regarding people the way I want to be regarded.

Needless to say, I definitely want to speak to someone in the position of authority to...

I've been here twice and both experiences have been the same. Dined in. Sitting area is clean, with typical crumbs here and there as expected in a fast food restaurant. The food is good, and the guests I came with really liked it and expressed that they would come back as well. So far we've had fries, sweet potatoes fries, green beans, and the Portabella Char burger. The food isn't the best out there, but it's not terrible either. I'd come back for sure. I really want to give this place 5 stars, but I can't. The burger does have gristle, and it's a thinner burger patty, and it's not a "fresh" patty. If it is, it doesn't taste like it. Sweet potato fries are delicious! However, they were served warm both times since they sit up on the waiting counter as the burger is being cooked and assembled. The tea is brewed and not from a machine, so that's great since there's not many "healthier" drink options here. The service isn't bad, but it's not top notch. It's your typical service of, here's your food, and that's it. You might get a smile, but if not it's not replaced with a bad attitude. It's been neutral. I ordered from the kiosk for both visits and each time I had to request my cup when receiving my food. Also, be sure to make sure you get the correct dressing /dip, even if it's on your slip you'll probably get something different. Prices are reasonable. It was $6.99 for the Portabella Char burger. Overall, I've had a positive experience and would come back again, expecting typical service and food for a fast food...

Good place The Chicken Sandwich is killer, Thick Juice y, the roll whole wheat more like a Multi - Grain Really nice, Well worth the $6.69 they charge I get it with cooked onions Tomatoes, & pickle's. Great And habits Fries are Really Good we get them with No salt & well done nice a good taste. The Burgers are So So Good also. Flame Grilled. Fresh beef cooked rite there in front for you. If you want the work's you can have it. I don't get it that way. I get a Hamburger, So I can taste the True flavor of the beef & it is truly delicious really is usually get no seasoning on it and it tastes just fine it really is I get her on a multigrain roll or whole wheat roll rather than a seeded bun which they usually have and it's very delicious just the same but I prefer the multi-grain or the whole wheat roll to the regular roll tomatoes and pickles just like I get on the chicken sandwich cooked onions only do is steam the onions no beef fat no oil it's just steamed with just a little water that's fine no oil additives it's great.all we need is a few more Habit burgers around the popping up going to be in the south and then going west in the connect between here and California eventually it's great great burger really is everybody should try it at least once. River Edge is a great location phelan's in nice location haven't been to the other locations and Central Jersey and South Jersey I'm sure they just as good Teterboro is a nice...
