I am comparing this against 4 other exchanges with a hope that someone recognizes this from a regional level and cracks down. 10 years ago, this place was great. Movies were so fair, music was a great browse and video games were awesome. I got some of the stuff I collect for fair to great prices. Around 5 years ago, some of the staff had a ridiculous conversation. They talked about they were holding the great trades behind the counter to buy later. They outright attributed to why the selection was just so awul. At the time, I could still get downtown and there are two Exchange locations. Between the two of them, I found some serious treasures with the prices being fair to great, so I stopped going to the Robinson location. Occasionally, I would even get to the Oakland location and while having less success, still find some good buys. Around 2 years ago, I stopped by Robinson with time to kill. A whole new staff was there. I then heard a similar conversation about nabbing great trades but this time they mentioned switching tags with cheaper items at check out. Proportionally, the selection was awful, with most games poor or without a case, classic games and music was abysmal, and movies were just okay. Around this time, I no longer went downtown, so Robinson was my only choice. Ongoing, it continued to have poor selections, or very unfair prices compared to Wal-Mart (movies and games) or GameStop (Ps3/Xbox 360 gen and up). I just thought the Exchange model was finally failing, trades were harder to come by, prices jumped and media was not as fun. Today, I went to the McKnight location however. It was like 5 years ago+. All collections were great, I got tons of great deals, and I felt like the staff was great. I hope Robinson trails that model, and a...

My experience with this gaming company left me thoroughly impressed with their fairness and integrity. From the moment I reached out to them to sell my gaming items, I was met with professionalism and transparency every step of the way.
What stood out to me the most was their commitment to offering a fair and honest valuation for my items. Unlike some companies that try to lowball customers in hopes of maximizing their own profits, this company took the time to assess the value of my gaming gear accurately and offered me a price that I felt was both reasonable and fair.
Moreover, they were upfront about the fact that they needed to make a profit when reselling the items. While some might see this as a downside, I appreciated their honesty and transparency about their business model. It's refreshing to deal with a company that doesn't try to hide behind deceptive tactics or fine print.
Throughout the process, I felt like my interests were being respected and prioritized. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, answering all of my questions and addressing any concerns I had along the way.
In the end, I walked away feeling satisfied with the deal we struck. Not only did I receive a fair price for my gaming items, but I also had the peace of mind of knowing that I was dealing with a company that operates with integrity and fairness.
If you're looking to sell your gaming gear and want to deal with a company that values honesty and transparency, I highly recommend giving this company a try. They exceeded my expectations in every way, and I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again...
Read moreI am coming back to give a write up on my most recent visit to the shop. The place does have an excellent inventory, and they do have pretty much everything you could ask for. Staff are generally good, and make sure your good.
However, upon my return, I noticed that the prices for some items are jacked up way too high. I understand that businesses need to mark things up so that they can function, but when I find a game that goes for twenty dollars on a site like eBay, and is fifty dollars here, and there is damage to the cartridge, I can't help but feel like making an hour long expedition isn't worth it.
Likewise, I had come here to get a new controller for my Nintendo 64, and when I talked on the phone with the staff, they said there was more than one original remote in a variety of colors, so I came over only to find one remote, and it being almost ten dollars more than one I could find on eBay.
So, I left the store without a remote because of a lack of product and a miscommunication on the phone about the product.
If your reading this new review, I am not saying to avoid this place, as it does genuinely have some of the best stuff I have seen. However, I do say that if you are someone who is a collector, please be weary that the prices here may be jacked up way more than you would expect.
I'm not sure if I will be returning to this business due to the pricing issues, but this is a great place to go if your just starting out with collecting, and need a convenient place to go when starting your collection of games or movies.
Hope this...
