Slice is owned by a guy named Rico who opens damn GOOD pizza shops. He has the winning formula for pizza...period!!! A delicious thin crust that tastes of fresh italian bread with crisp bottom and chewy ends, a sweet tomato-forward sauce, plenty of basil and garlic but not too "fussed with", just good ingredients singing in harmony, and an excellent tasting mozz blend. If you love NY style "big slice" pizza, garlic knots and pepperoni rolls, this is a place you cannot skip. I recommend the plain cheese pie, the Santino (pep, sausage, ricotta) and the Bianca (garlic sauce white with ricotta and spiced crust). His margarita pie is delicious too. Slice may be the only pizza place in Pittsburgh making AUTHENTIC NYC style pizza and to my palate, it's the best tasting, highest quality pizza available in the whole county... with Fiores and Aiellos trailing behind. Go here... enjoy the best pie in the burgh. As long as he staffs it with good people, it'll do great.
Edit: they recently started offering Sicilian crust squares for lunchtime (choice of cheese and pepperoni) and OH MY GOD it is to die for. I swear to God this dude is a...
Read moreI have been wanting to try Slice On Broadway for a while now, but usually when we order pizza it’s because we don’t have time to run and pick something up. So the no delivery in our area is too bad, but on 1/19/25 at 1:30pm we picked up two large pies, one cheese and one pepperoni. Drove them 25 minutes home and I was shocked at how well it handled the trip. Some pizzas are a soggy mess after 25 minutes in a box, but this was perfect 👍… The sauce is a little bit sweet, the crust was delicious and the amount of pepperoni was just right. The 3 younger fellas working were all extremely friendly and even gave us a pepperoni roll for my 13 year old son and I to share on the way home! That alone made it a return trip regardless of the pizza. So great pizza, great customer service and pricing is comparable to other local shops. We’ll...

I ordered the “ginormous” plain pizza, paid $25. The pizza was cut into 16 SMALL slices. Come on guys, in my pizza life that’s 8 normal slices which equates to a medium pizza, more like $15. This was in no way or shape a “ginormous” pizza. But I do have to say the pizza was good, good sauce, good dough. Also the staff inside were very friendly with great customer service. But please STOP cutting normal slices in half, that is NOT a normal slice and that is...
