When we entered the store, an employee was cleaning tables and straightening out chairs. She then went behind the service counter (without washing her hands) and asked us what we wanted to order. My daughter ordered chocolate ice cream with gummy bears and I watched in horror as the employee reached her UNGLOVED hand with unhygienically long nails into the topping bin and grabbed a handful of gummy bears without using the scooper. I was completely horrified. Not only did she not wash or wear a glove, but she also did not use the scooper, which was in the gummy bear bin that she reached her ungloved hand into. She reached around the scoop to grab the bears, which was absolutely bizarre to witness. Realizing that all of the bins were probably contaminated by this completely disgusting and unhygienic practice, there was little point in me even saying anything. My daughter would have been horribly upset if we didn't get her ice cream, so now I have to monitor her for the next few days for signs of illness because of this employee's complete and utter carelessness.
I was ServSafe certified for several years so I know that what this woman did was completely unacceptable and dangerous. This is a major health risk that could cause an e-coli outbreak. Long nails harbor extra bacteria and germs, not to mention this woman didn't even bother to wash her hands before touching a customer's food, especially after she had been cleaning dirty tables. There is also the risk of chemical contamination because of that. With nails that are that long, she should be scrubbing underneath each nail and wearing gloves before touching food. She did absolutely nothing according to health code and I am disgusted, angry, and worried that my daughter will now become ill. All of the toppings need to be thrown out, the bins need to be cleaned and sanitized at this store, and re-training is needed so that employees know how to safely handle food. A manager should also be present to monitor what is going on.
This is completely unacceptable and if my child gets sick, I will be reporting this to the proper authorities. I will also be seeking medical compensation if she ends up ill because of this incident. We will not be returning to this location until we know that it is safe to...
Read moreblonde girl at the counter today was very unprofessional and rude. my boyfriend and i decided to do a pickup order so we could go in and right back out. when he went in, the employees were talking with a group of their friends that came in, and my boyfriend was ignored while waiting to be helped. obviously not the end of the world, but after waiting at least 5 or so minutes, he asked if he could just grab the order and head out. which the girl very rudely responded “you can give me a second” while continuing her conversation with her friends. i usually don’t ever leave bad reviews, but this isn’t the first time something has happened at this location. the ice cream is good and it has the potential to be a wonderful ice cream spot, but the employees are insufferable. management,...
Read moreI ordered a birthday cake online from this store. I have never had ice cream from Cold Stone but the recipient had raved about "the best cake" she had ever had. I knew I had to get the perfect cake for someone special and Cold Stone definitely delivered. Ordering online was simple and straightforward. I was able to customize the cake however I wanted. The day it was scheduled for pickup the staff had the cake ready to go for us. The employees were friendly and helpful, they gave us advice on storing and thawing the cake so that it would be perfect when we were ready to eat it. The employees here made an amazing cake that made someone's birthday incredible, for that I am very thankful. I will definitely remember this experience and return...
