Is it reasonable to post a review some 20 years late? I won't say how I got here, suffice it to say, I started looking for directions while recovering from surgery, now here I am XD. I remember so many peewee hockey games here playing for Sharp Shop and Nolan Insurance (are they still around?) in subsequent years. I also remember playing at the Rochester Civic Center. Of course this all occured before the then-new Rochester Rec Center with its fantabulous rinks and lots of stadium seating was constructed. I remember my mom getting so excited at one of my games that when (full-discalimer), as my parents told the story, I scored the winning goal and my mom jumped up in jubilation and promptly lost $89 (this figure comes to mind) from her purse. All I remember was that my dad came into our locker room with Micky-D's shakes all around! Those were fun times. Fast forward to 2000; I told my wife I found a great 2,600-sqft split level home around the same neighborhood as my aunt & uncle's old home, not far from Winston Churchill Elementary. She lovingly reminded me that she didn't leave Sheffield England to move to an even colder place than the original steel city. Fast foward to 2024; one son enjoys his beach life 5 minutes from La Jolla and our other rock climbs both indoors and outdoors and plays golf with friends. My wife and I are nearing retirement, staying active at the beach, mountains, and desert, with friends and family. But somehow, I still occasionally find myself on google earth looking at how my old homestead has changed... Thank you Graham Arena and Rochester MN for the...

This is fine for practice and whatnot, but this was a tournament, and I had my 84 year old mother with me. If it hadn't been for the courtesy of ONE gentleman, my mom would have had to stand the entire game. If you're going to put on a tournament, have...
Read moreGraham Arena is one of our favorite places to be in the winter. Hockey, hot chocolate and plenty of room to skate, shoot or even run laps (above rink 4). Pay special attention to the plaques in the lobby. Did you know the US Olympic team played at Graham Arena before going on to defeat the USSR back when there...
