This is an amazing hotel with very friendly staff and amazing amenities! This hotel literally has thought of everything to make your stay as amazing and stress-free as possible. We stayed in the king one bedroom suite during our visit to the Mayo clinic and the room was extremely spacious and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The bed was comfy and our request for extra pillows was accommodated by friendly and caring front desk staff. The bathroom, living room area, and kitchenette had everything we needed, including dish soap, dishwasher soap, towels, coffeemaker (not full-size coffee maker), coffee, microwave, full-size fridge/freezer, and stovetop. Dishes, cookware, cooking utensils, cups/mugs, and silverware were all included as well. We had an indefinite stay planned due to treatment at Mayo and it was so nice not to have to worry about bringing so many additional items. Although there is no oven in the room, the lending locker had a toaster oven that we could borrow in the room to heat certain items that weren't suited for the microwave. There is also a propane grill (with grilling utensils available as well as tin foil) outside in the back of the hotel with a patio for sitting outside. There is no continental breakfast offered, but we expected as much since all rooms have kitchenettes. Parking was free and there is an underground secured garage for parking as well as outside parking available. There is also a shuttle to/from Mayo clinic that makes it easy to navigate appointments and getting to/from the hospital without having to deal with parking. The hotel has literally thought of everything and the price was extremely reasonable! We were extremely happy with our stay and highly recommend this hotel whether you're coming to Mayo or travelling...
Read moreUpdate 7.23.24 -same problem 4 wks later. Dirty dishes in the cupboards.. again you should leave the dishes in the dishwasher so we know they've been cleaned instead of things just getting a quick rinse, if that.. based on reviews refunds are given out often for issues here but at some point things should change.. did notice that there's a $10 incidentals charge that is new which is odd. Is that supposed to cover the time and labor washing the dishes which has had to be done every single time we've stayed here in the last few months? This hotel is just so bizarre. Again, same as the last visit, please tell the staff who clean this place to, well, do their job. About the only change since last time is this new $10 charge which is appalling considering the fact of the matter. Also two spoons two knives and two forks for two bedroom room is ridiculous supposed to wash dishes every time you have a meal? That's super wasteful.
Update 6.28.24 Had some issues and manager promptly replied acknowledging problems and apologizing. Appreciated, but definitely recommend training staff better on both cleaning processes as well as knowing where to find pull up couch bedding etc. I bet a one-page tips and tricks/knowledge cheat sheet at the front desk for those evening folks and then one for the cleaners would do tons to alleviate some of the persistent problems especially if you did random room checks for a few months once or twice a week to make sure things are done to your spec.
I.e. Dusty cupboards with dishes in them can't be dusted with dishes in them. If dishes were in dishwasher like dishwasher sign says cupboards would likely be dusted since they don't have to remove a bunch of dishes to do...
Read moreEdit: I’m changing my 1 star review to 4 due to the manager Daniel. Daniel addressed the situation professionally and made things right with me.
I’m a travel nurse and I have stayed at this property for about 2 weeks now. And I’ve even recommended it to my patients. However, I will NEVER recommend it again. This morning I checked in at 8am (I work night shift and stay here during the day) and GWEN working the front desk has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I’ve ever experienced. I literally travel for my job and I’ve never run into anything this horrible. I told her I had called and booked my room 2 days prior and she threw a fit. She said I have to check out at 11am (how does this make sense when I’m booking a day use room?). I’m speaking kindly to her and she is absolutely rude. She wouldn’t answer any of my questions and she kept saying I was wrong. She finally called her supervisor to confirm that I can check in at 8am and check out at 6pm… and guess what??? Her supervisor told her that I can. I don’t know who trained her but this is not what I expect when I’m spending $95 on an IGH hotel room. I expect so much better from this hotel chain. Everyone prior to this has been amazing and that’s why I continued to bring my service here and recommend to my patients. But from now on I’ll be bringing my $$ to a place that respects...
