Another return, another restaurant choice and another enjoyable meal. Interesting how they just started with lunch hours and a single employee was manning the four restaurants taking orders at one location, pouring drinks from the bar and delivering food. She was on her A game. Reid’s Pizza last time, now Julio’s Tacos for a chicken burrito, chips and queso. Burrito was nicely stuffed with chunks of chicken, spanish rice, shredded cheese, black beans, lettuce, cilantro, red onion, tomatoes, sour cream in a warm tortilla. A side of queso comes with it.

Time for date night and restaurant roulette with the significant other? The one who can’t make up their mind and certainty not feeling what you are suggesting? Well, look no further. With four eateries like Julio’s Tacos offering tacos, nachos, quesadillas, chips and salsa. Murdoch Place has your burgers, dogs, toasties and appetizers. Looking for something with chicken? Well, Birdie’s is the place. Chicken sandwiches, popcorn chicken and strips, salads and sides, chicken n’ waffles and even a couple pork sandwiches. Last chance to persuade them that this is the place to be is Reid’s pizza. Classic or signature pies in Detroit Style thick crust, Minnesota Style Thin Crust or Gluten Free Thin Crust. The Workshop Bar for those libation leanings of midwestern brews, domestics, craft and seasonal cocktails, mocktails, and the Geez Louis. Libby’s Sweet Shop for confection cravings of shakes, malts, cheesecake, mini-donuts, cookies and churros. Dating back to the 1930s this historical building was the workshop for the canning factory and the iconic corncob water tower across the street. Originally owned and operated by Reid, Murdoch & Co. Beautifully restored, repurposed and simply decorated with a Minnesota theme. Large interior with brick walls, cement floor, open industrial ceiling, tables and chairs, padded booths and dividers. A barbershop is available during normal business hours and an outdoor patio is serving you and your furry companion. The pooch burger is available at Murdoch’s Place. Once inside claim a table or booth with something insignificant or a friend that is significant, scan the QR code on the table for menu options and head to the order counter of your choice. Overhead menus are also available at each individual counter. Pay and wait and the food is brought right to your table. Easy peasy. My blushing bride had her mind made up and in no time we were enjoying Reid’s thin crust, classic Supreme. Football shaped pizza nicely topped with ample amount of pepperoni, sausage, bell peppers, onion, black olives, mozzarella cheese baked to a crispy thin crust perfection. Good food, comfortable atmosphere and...

So I was new in town here and I went out on a Saturday mind you I’m a disabled vet with a noticeable limp from service and I walked around the part of the bar were all the younger people were so I could sit at the bar and get a drink and I was told I couldn’t come over there .. I guess the valid reason was that it’s only for regular customers… mind you there like 7-9 people sitting over there. Drinking yet I was told no service was available on that side yet everyone was drinking

Responding to your statement. It was not blocked off and even if that’s a rule it should apply for everyone I was specifically told that it’s blocked off for our “regulars” and you guys service ended hours ago. So don’t come on here and lie. They continued to be there in that area for 30 plus minutes.. one of my friends Tyler who lives in town came and said hi to me while I was standing at the em of the bar and you all let him over there. So stop contradicting yourself. I literally did not even drink anything I just wanted to sit down. Glad to see Rochester is still trash. You don’t have to worry about me coming back. Have a great day bless your heart. Ps your site says you stop serving food at 9pm when I was there it was nearly midnight. Ma’am so why are people over there? And it was like 12 people. I still have video and I have your bouncer on video saying you guys left whoever you want over there… that’s fine if you do but don’t lie.. talking about having rules no you have favorites… but a good business would be consistent. Instead of coming on here being defensive and lying. I guess you choose to live your life with the lie though.

if you’re gonna uphold a standard, it should be the same for everyone not who you deemed special .. no signs people walking in and out all around but you point out the one person who has a...

Stopped here today for the first time. It looks like their is a separate barber shop💈 at the north end of the building.

Ample parking in the parking lot. It’s directly across the street from the corn water tower. Appears they are closed Monday & Tuesdays.

Their are four different restaurants inside- it’s a lot like a food court. Large bar area for adults. Multiple large screen TV’s.

There is one central place to fill your soft drink. Multiple bottled drinks at each food station. Alcohol is at the bar.

I was a bit unsure of the flow the first time being here. 1- Grab a table 2- scan the QR code at the table for menu 3- decide the restaurant you want food at. 4- go over, order, pay. 5- fill your drink on way to table 6- or stop at bar, order drink, wait til it’s ready. Go to your table. 7- Set number stand at the table 8- your hot food will arrive VERY SOON.

I ordered the cookies 🍪 from the sweet shop. We got a basket with 3 LARGE cookies. They were even warm. Very delicious.

The person along with ordered the waffle with chicken. It looked bomb A$$. We planned to just drink and have a quick meeting, but got hungry.

It was on a Saturday afternoon. Moderately busy, I was after the lunch rush. Staff work hard to keep tables clean, area neat, bus your plates to give you space. It’s a bit loud, but I like that kids & adults are there. Sign does say “no outside food allowed”- which makes sense. My only thought was if doing a party - I wonder if they allow an outside cake in? If not, it would be a deal breaker for me. Others wise I totally understand as they have a great menu, plenty of options for most...

What a great addition to Rochester! It was our first time out to a restaurant with our little kids. The food was great and the atmosphere was family friendly. Our only critique is how the restaurant is setup. If you weren't sure what you wanted and wanted to look at each of the kitchens menus then you had to walk back and forth to each. The area to stand and look at each menu felt very cramped as it's a narrow space. The space between each of the tables was also very limited. If your chair and the person behind you were both out then you had to find another open row to get through. This didn't allow easy access to the condiment bar or to allow servers through. Just wanted to share our thoughts. Thanks for restoring this beautiful building and making it a fun new spot in Rochester!
