Food Lion — Attraction in Rock Hill

I have to say that this is my favorite Food Lion supermarket. It's very clean every time I've visited. I personally know the store manager - Drew Elliott - and I have never in my life known anyone that works harder than he. I've known him for about 20 years and I can tell you that when he takes on a project, he always gets it right. When he's not at work, he's constantly working on something else and it's usually for someone else out of the kindness of his heart, not for personal gain. I tell you this so you will understand that it's that very attitude that he carries to his job that makes this Food Lion so good. I could tell you so many stories about how he has helped myself and my family on a daily basis but I would spend days of typing his good deeds helping others. He's not just an incredible store manager at Food Lion, he's an incredible person. He's selfless. I have rated this Food Lion with 5 stars. Not because Drew is a family friend but because I personally know the quality of his work and I would never have a doubt that when he's in charge, things will be done right - and done right away. I will continue to visit this Food Lion anytime I can. The store will be clean. The staff will be friendly. The products will be fresh. The shelves will be stocked properly. And if there's anything that Drew or any of his staff can do to help you, they will do it. He keeps plenty of check out lanes open so wait times are usually shorter that other stores. The front end staff seems very nice and capable of helping you with anything. I haven't met any of the stocking crew but I have to say that they do a fine job because the shelves stay full and the product seems to be allocated properly and faced up so that you can see what you are looking for more easily. Also, the bathrooms are very clean. All of these qualities are the reason why I rated this Food Lion so high. I recommend this Food Lion store - on Ebenezer Road - to any grocery shopper. And please keep in mind as you shop there, that Drew - The store manager - is exactly the kind of person that you would want to have managing your store. Say hi to him. You...

It's really sad I'm having to give this review but I live literally within seconds of this food lion so I thought it would be super convenient for me when I recently moved here I was pregnant and now have my newborn so having a store near by is key. But sadly this food lion is so unbelievably terrible at keeping shelves stocked I am often having to send the man of the house to different grocery stores. Random things I love like vanilla coke are out of stock for weeks at a time but the reason I'm writing the review is my baby's formula. Several times for days on end my baby's formula is out of stock here. And I was told by food lion a specific date it is delivered go late evening on that date shocker it's not there and the employees are clueless as to why. Unfortunately for what ever reason the off brand food lion sells only is what works best for my baby other brands are to hard on his tummy the employee said idk why it wasn't delivered order it online. Shocker you can't order it online not even on Amazon only in store. I truly wish this food lion would keep better stock as the formula is one of the many many items I come to pick up and have to go get at another store. By far the best Food Lion Ever!!! I've been meaning to write this review because it's very IMPORTANT people know they can trust the people around them!! Well at this Food Lion huh definitely can!! I don't live in this neighborhood but I stopped by to send a Western Union, was in a hurry like always, and the Western Union kept messing up but finally the Food Lion employee was able to get it to go thru.. I left out in an even bigger rush because the Western Union took longer than expected..... Well me being me, I left my whole WALLET behind with all my rent money in it plus some other cash and low & behold I came back as quick as possible once I noticed & the store was already closed but I was able to get an employee's attention thru the window, they asked me color if the wallet & then when she brought it out she asked me my name to match the ID & handed over my whole life in the wallet!! I literally started crying because the whole way there my mind was racing with all these different scenarios as to what was gonna happen, I just knew my money was gonna be gone if not everything & I was to say the most luckiest person ever right then!!
