A punk rock pizzeria run by mexican bandmates? Throw in a lucidore and you have the finest Telemundo. Put it in Davenport and you have a bloody overnight sensation. For a bunch of kids that have never been to new york, these guys have nailed the new york slice. Cracked crisp bottom on the crust with jut a bit of chewiness, you'll even want to smash the bones of this pie because they glaze it with some sort of agave nectar. Let me tell you about the sauce. Its lovely. Just enough heat to remind you that you ain't dead yet with a rich complexity that marries all the specialty toppings, which are in perfect proportion for the crust style. You can tell the owners like to drink, not because they're drinking at work, but because the bar selection is loaded with piles of top notch loveliness. This doesnt mean that the drinks are overpriced, though. The family team that runs the joint wants you coming back over and over. I know this, because on a busy Saturday, two of the owners wandered out of the kitchen just to check on us, as well as the staff. The music and atmosphere is great as well. The tunes are loud enough for you to sing along, should you care to, but low enough that you can engage in conversation with your co diners without having a shout. You can get whole pies or just a slice. I have yet to try the slice option as the pizza reheats well and it's good enough that I want to eat it the next day. Try the margaritas. Seriously. They are a majestic unicorn , david Bowie riding a tiger made of lightning, and a perfect compliment to the pizza. If the ninja turtles ever left new york, it would be for a road trip to lopiez. First time here for me and my husby and it was a realy cute place! We loved the ambience and the service seemed to be great! We only ordered take out and was towards their closing time so can't give a strong sense of their whole service capabilities but what we saw and got was great! 👌🏽😊 Found this little spot on Google while trying to find somewhere to get just some big, individual pizza slices at to eat on the road. The place had the giant New York style pizza pie slices and the size did Not disappoint! Lol. Exactly the serving you'd expect as advertised! Lol. Now the quality of the Taste was just so so I'm sorry to say. We wanted to and expected to love this pizza so much by most other reviews I had read but the slices we got, Sausage and Pepperoni for the husby and Pepperoni and Mushrooms for me. They were quite Generous with the toppings for a plus for sure! 👌🏽 But the quality of the taste, the cheese, the sauce, the Pepperonis even, were just Okay for us, not great.. When I first approached the restaurant I was delighted to see LGBTQ+ representation on the entrance of the building and I thought I had found an accepting safe space in this world of toxic masculinity and bigotry. Unfortunately I was mistaken, as I sat down I noticed the TV's playing programs like old American wrestling shows and various sports. I was disgusted to see some of the things in these wrestling programs, there was little person shaming and a lot of blatant misogyny, yikes! It really killed the atmosphere for me and made the whole environment feel hostile. It didn't help that I had to endure this for over 2 hours while I waited for my pizza, yes it took that long! By the end of it I was on the verge of a mental breakdown. I even spotted a Metallica pinball machine in the corner, which just added to the atmosphere of aggressive masculinity. When I finally received the pizza I was too shaken up to even enjoy it. This is not an establishment that supports us comrades.
