This store is disgraceful. The sales girl was very unprofessional (her young(er) age should not matter- you're there to assist customers as a retail associate- I worked retail years ago and would have been strongly reprimanded for such a lack of professionalism), never said please or offered a bag but simply directed me and another gentleman (who was also picking up an online order) to the area where the online orders are stored for pick-up and said she needed the slip with my name on it and that, "I just need to know if you're taking them [the shoes]." I had to ask for a bag and felt like I was inconveniencing her. Also, why is there only one sales associate working a busy front desk? I understand understaffing due to COVID but I suspect this was not the issue here. I'll never shop this location again but will continue to shop the DSW at Waterview Commons in Parsippany where the service is outstanding. I paid $70 for shoes and in turn received poor customer service, an unnecessary "online order" wait due to unclear instructions (a sign is not enough- there should be more details or simply add something to the sign that says "find your order and bring the name slip to an associate up front." ) Apparently, the young ladies up front seemed to think one sign relieves them of any need to communicate with store patrons. This is unacceptable. So many people are out of work or on furlough and would love an opportunity to work in retail. I do hope the girls receive further training here, for the sake of other customers (I won't be one). When I made a suggestion about a need for more clear instructions, I was met with apathy, unprofessionalism, and I am pretty sure, an immature verbal aside from the girls up front (which I think I heard on my way out in response to my feedback). They need to grow up and get a grip!!! Way uncool ladies, way way uncool. Gold star for showing your...
Read moreI always go to this store at Rockaway, and never have such bad services like today. Since the moment I got to the store with my two daughters.
I saw this lady, with such bad attitude throwing garbage next to where we were trying shoes on.
She gave us this look of hatred.
First of all, if she doesnât like Hispanics she is in the wrong place , because this is a multicultural town, you are going to see a lot of Hispanics here. Second if you are overworked or you donât like your job, thatâs not my problem or any other customers problem.
Your job is to give a basic customer service.
Second I go to pay and spend 200.00 in shoes and I asked for my 5 dollars rewards , since Iâm a gold member and the cashier told me very rude way âNO YOU DONâT HAVE REWARDS â
I showed her my phone and the reward that I have, and she called the manager.
when I finally got the reward, I said Thank you and she even didnât answer⊠When I go to pay with my card, the cashier canceled the transaction.
And she took away the 5 dollars who was previously given by the poor and unhappy manager.
I walked away, because I wasnât in the mood to have a confrontation, but never have I had such bad experience like today.
What a Labor Day weekend buying shoes for my kids at this store.
DSW, please do better for the customers. we come to this store to spend our money, not to receive bad attitude from your employees.. Rockaway, NJ Store...
Read moreLove this DSW. It has such a large variety of shoes, purses, socks, and more! My only issue with this store is that, even though there is a wide variety of sneakers, there isn't a large variety of sturdy yet comfortable sneakers for my personal activities. They are either super soft and flexible (not much support). Or they are major support to the point they hurt after a while due to the stiffness. I bought 3 pairs of sneakers last visit and only 1 of the pair I can wear consistently, even though all of the pairs are Adidas, Puma, and Nike. The Nike ones are perfect but unfortunately the other 2 are too soft and lack major ankle support. If you just need shoes this is your place!! Although I suggest if you are a serious athlete or are always on your feet to check out foot locker for a bigger broader selection of...
