Loyola Beach Playground — Attraction in Rogers Park Township

The Loyola Park playground is a large playground directly next to the Loyola Park Beach on the shores of Lake Michigan. It features a large play structure for older children and a smaller structure for younger children. Unique elements of this playground include a large, metal fish suitable for climbing, an array of musical instruments, and a parent/child swing. I love how my son can play at the playground if he is not up for playing in the sand and swimming. If he changes his mind, we are back to enjoy lake Michigan. Beach lifeguards in the summer make me feel good about my teenager swimming with her friends while my little one keeps me busy. Clean playground. Bathrooms are next to the playground which is a big deal with a little one. Free parking is kind of easy to find on weekdays. The playground has been recently upgraded with wonderful new equipment. The equipment uses your body wait and absolutely state of the art stuff. The crowds tend to be diverse and interesting.
