Food was decent and the price was reasonable. The reason for the one-star rating is because this place steals money from their unsuspecting customers. Make sure you check your final bill. There's a reason why they don't bring your check to the table and makes you walk up to the counter to pay (no time to check it before you pay). When you call them on the overcharge they say "It's for the tip" (we only had 4 adults in our party and there was no mention of included tips based on party size noted on the menu) even though it's not notated on the bill.... $10 extra dollars just magically appeared to be added to our total. We were overcharged by 25% for our dinner. I wonder how much money this place makes off of unsuspecting customers who don't pay any attention to how much their dinner should cost and just pay the total plus put an additional tip down at the table. You'd be getting cheated on the bill PLUS giving them an additional tip on to of that. This place probably makes more on cheating you than they do charging you for the food (explains why they charge a low price for their plates). Beware when dining here....
Read moreBeen coming here for years, before they changed their name. Price has gone up, but that's to be expected. Food has always been consistent. Tasty, appropriate flavoring. Canh Chua Ca (hot & sour fish soup), Ca Kho (caramelized braised catfish) & Thit Kho (caramelized braised pork) are my favorites... I can never make mine taste like theirs... Sooooooo good. They were cash only (which is understandable for a lot of mom & pops), been accepting cards for some time now. They have NEVER snuck in any "tip" charge on my bill. (I read that in a few other reviews). And being "cash only" has nothing to do with charging tax on food. That's why I decided to finally write a review for them. No I don't know the owners. I'm not related to them in any way. Just a fellow Vietnamese immigrant who understands what they're going thru and the difficulties of running a restaurant, especially nowadays where "anyone and everyone" can post their opinions about "anything and everything". I like this place,...

It's slightly sour and sweet from the pineapple and tomato they add, and there is okra and some other Vietnamese herbs. It comes with either shrimp or catfish. Pairs really well with their side dishes too - you can choose from caramelized pork or catfish in a clay pot.
We got the two person family special with the Catfish Canh Cua and the Thit Koh (Caramelized Claypot Braised Pork). It came with rice and a side of chicken salad plus pickled veggies. The catfish was very soft, and the caramelized pork pairs nicely with the soup and rice. The food was delicious and well balanced with ample veggies and protein. The two of us still could not finish everything as it was a good portion. All of this was only 25 bucks.
