I check stock of Posca markers. 3 of the metallic kind, and "limited stock" of the glitter set. They had an amazing deal and I didn't want to spend extra on shipping.
When I got there they only had one gray set in the marker aisle.
I was told that the stock count was "incorrect" and that the markers were still on the "freight" and that I should come back in a couple days.
I said, well the site allows me to make an order for pick up based off the stock at this location, may I make that order so the next time I come I know it's reserved for me?
They told me that Michael's would cancel my order if the products didn't come in on time.
All I wanted was to get a good sale $60 worth of posca pens for $33. And it didn't make sense to me that they would cancel the order automatically, I asked if they would just fill the order as the pens come in...
Then, I decided to order pick up anyways even though they said there's a chance it would cancel.
I decide to buy one 1M black posca in-store since they had that....I have to wait in line just to get an available employee to open the key box. And when I get to the front of the counter...all of the posca markers are there. Lol. All 3 of the metallic posca sets, the glitter posca set and many other posca sets....the very employee that told me they were out of stock and haven't inventoried them yet...was standing right in front of all of the sets.
If I were working at this michaels I wouldve grabbed the sets and went to look for me if I saw them. My only thinking is this employee was tired and legitimately didn't see them even though she was 2 feet from them. It's Christmas time, it's stressful. So I'll give 2 stars instead of one because of the holidays.
I told her that I already put the pick up order in right before seeing the sets and she says they can cancel the order. And then I realized this is a pick up order, can't they just...give me the sets? I paid for them already.
A manager was called and I didn't appreciate that she said they "just inventoried them," like they had just put them out on the floor but I had checked their stock maybe 3 hours prior and the stock matched.
I don't know I spent about half an hour to hour in the store when it was supposed to be a quick stop. And I would rather appreciate honesty than slight white lies about the inventory stock.
A simple "oh I'm sorry, we moved these to the front of the store for marketing/advertisement, apparently the website stock is correct. we're sorry we told you we were out of stock"
It was the weirdest run-around of customer service I've ever received at...
Read moreVery unhappy, I could not return something unexpectedly. It was a clearance item, I was not sure about it when I purchased it. Therefore, I would not have purchased it. Had I been TOLD clearance items ARE NOT returnable at the time of purchase. I personally, did not see anything telling me of this non-return policy, AND I was not told this by the cashier at checkout. Additionally, if I had gone through the new self-checkout I also would have been uninformed about this return policy. I understand the policy, BUT if it is only on the bottom of the receipt of the purchase, as I was slightly rudely informed when I tried to make the return. HOW is someone intended to know this BEFORE the purchase? Also, seriously who looks at a receipt after a purchase, BUT before leaving a store if the total is within the amount you expected? Read moreVery dissapointed in the tie-dye class that was offered last Sunday. I pre registered for myself and an older friend to take part in this class. I thought it would be great as I participated in one at this location last year and was impressed by the classroom setting and how well the class was ran. Well upon showing up for this class we find it was not taking place in the classroom, the teacher had no idea that pre-registering was even a thing and there was no place to sit. It was at a fold out table in the middle of the store. There were only four stations and we were informed it was first come first serve and there were four more people ahead of us. On top of the four currently participating. This put a bad taste in our mouth. At this point we decided not to participate and put the shirts we were going to buy for the class back.
