I had ordered a very large catering order for my company's holiday party last month. I called in the order two days in advance to make sure everything would be ready and was assured my order had been placed, and I would receive a texted link to pay prior to pickup. I received a call a few hours before the pickup time to advise that they had not received their shipment of spaghetti noodles and was asked to substitute. This was not a big deal. The issue began when I had not yet received the link to pay. I called about an hour before my employee was going to pick up the food from his way back from Rocklin (we are an hour away in Grass Valley) to make sure they send the link to pay as I wanted it taken care of before he got there, so he had no issues. The employee tried a couple of times to send the link, and it didn't work. He even tried my partner's number, which also didn't work. They were having some issue with the pay link. I offered to give my credit card over the phone, and they said they do not accept phone payment due to policy. He said they could deliver and accept cash on delivery. I advised him we are an hour away multiple times, and he said that would not be a problem. I told him I would have to call back because $680 is a lot of cash to come up with on short notice on Saturday. I called back and requested delivery. I was transferred to the manager, Mary, who then advised me they could not deliver. I told her I was already told this was an option, so I figured out how to get cash and now want the delivery service that was offered. She called her manager Tiffany, and Tiffany confirmed delivery and phone payments were not an option. I was forced to have my employee pay $680 out of his pocket and reimburse him. This was the worst experience I have ever had with any restaurant, and though I understand they are worried about fraud, exceptions can be made, especially if their system was not working. Both managers' reasoning for not budging on the phone payment was that they were afraid to get fired. What a horrible place to work is that is the case. My employee did note that they were incredibly accommodating when he picked up and included a discount for our inconvenience. We will no longer be giving this restaurant our service and would have canceled this $680 order had it not been such...

Boyfriend and I love Olive Garden food, and for the most part this location gets it right with regard to food and drink whenever we've visited. However, in terms of cleanliness, I'm not a fan. We were seated in a booth and the wall beside my booth's chair was dirty. The tables were fine, albeit a bit sticky, but it might've just been the fact that it was summertime. Our waiter was super nice and friendly, had no issues with the service there. I can't recall ever encountering an issue with OG's customer service.
I've docked two stars based on overall appearance and cleanliness. I just didn't feel super comfortable seeing such dirt and grime on the wall, it had made me self conscious of just how clean my seat was at the time.
Also they were offering a $5 take home entree promo at the time of my last visit, whose date of creation and expiration was vague at best. How could you know if this was made the day you bought it? Best if consumed within two days, considering that it's basically a frozen TV-dinner that you pop into the microwave, you'd think it would last longer than 2 days in the freezer. Unsure if they've gotten rid of this promo but if they haven't be wary of falling for it. It sounds like such a bomb deal otherwise.
I haven't returned to the area since my last visit thanks to the pandemic (I live in NY primarily) Unsure of when I'll be able to return actually, so I apologize for being unable to give any updates on their new health and safety measures. I'm going to assume that they're open for takeout but I'd call ahead to see if they offer delivery.
I'm hard pressed to recommend this Olive Garden location. Their food is good, better than my local Olive Garden in Brooklyn, NY, but these chain restaurants need to step up their sanitizing game. Especially now in light of the pandemic. I do intend to return whenever I can fly back to CA and give them another chance. The boyfriend and I really are suckers for their pasta and chicken gnocchi soup. I just hope it looks and feels cleaner for...
Read moreI brought my family here after my daughter's state gymnastic meet. The wait was short for being Sunday afternoon. As soon as we were seated our server was immediately at our table to get our drinks. When he was told that my daughter has an allergy to strawberries, he assured us that he would personally ensure that the blender would be washed before making her drink. when he took our orders he didn't write anything down; this completely impressed my kids. The only slip ups were he didn't ask how I wanted my steak cooked, and due to me fighting a migraine at the time, I also forgot to mention it and I had asked for a salad with ranch. When he brought out my salad it had a vinegar dressing on it. As soon as he set it down he realized the mix up and promptly brought me out the correct salad with ranch. This didn't bother me because ranch dressing isn't a common dressing to be served with salads in a higher class restaurant.
Onto dinner...our waiter brought our food in a very reasonable time considering how busy the restaurant was. When he gave me my plate he immediately asked me to check how it was cooked. As soon as I cut into it I could tell it was perfect. He apologized for not asking. It was at this time that he noticed that the lights were causing me some considerable discomfort. He asked if I was ok. I told him I was and that it was just a headache. He told me it looked to be a little bit more than just a headache and went to get someone to help dim the lights. Someone came over and removed the light bulb that was right above the table. This helped right away and I was able to enjoy the rest of our time while we ate.
In the end, even with the pain I was dealing with, this was our best experience at any restaurant we have ever patronized.
Thank you for taking a moment to do something so small as removing a light bulb so I could enjoy the time I had...
