I used to love this market. I loved to come here for the small town, personal feel it had. These days it seems dirty, and the service and products leave much to be desired.
My last three trips have been similar, but this past one was the straw that broke the camels back. The produce was mostly wilted and discolored - the avocados were so ripe the seed inside swished around. The meat selections were okay, but we bought ground beef from the butchers department and if it wasn't outright bad it was one it's way to being there. We couldn't find many of the items we needed, which I might expect in a small store - but coupled with the less than friendly staff and the poor condition of the food we purchased it was just too much. Albertson's is close by, and the super Walmart just on the other side of town. I won't be making this...
Read moreService was good but the manager is obnoxious and very loud and likes to cause a scene for no apparent reason. If the store expects to hold up, she needs to treat her customers better and not make obsurd demands towards her customers who just want to support the local community. Someone needs to tell her to brush up on the constitution and not harass customers for not wearing a mask. The same goes for one of the obnoxious employees. Read moreThe smallest of the three grocery stores here, and the go to place for beef i can actually afford. Thriftway has always had the best in fresh beef, and prices that are consistently better then the other two. Like all grocery stores, some items are priced higher or lower then others, but their specials are always worth stopping for. Staff has always been excellent (dont know how they manage to do that, I've been going here over 15 years, haven't been in an altercation once with an employee there), and to this day helpful and friendly.
