Recently I discovered Daiso while visiting family in Washington state. We went to 3 different Daiso stores in Washington over the 2 weeks we were there. When I told an employee I was from Sacramento, she told me there was one here and I was excited. I honestly put a few things back on the shelves deciding it could wait until I got home to buy them. Boy was I disappointed today visiting my local Daiso! Not only were the selections poor and shelves barely stocked but I was shocked to see items double the Daiso price and more! I didn't see this at any of the stores I visited in Washington and some of the same items I bought in Washington for $1.50 were being sold here for as much as $4! I'm writing their customer service as well because I understood Daiso Japan to be a company that prides itself in their price/product ratio and honestly I felt cheated by this store. To top it all off I waited nearly 5 minutes to check out! There was no line!!! I waited at the register for 5 minutes watching the cashier figure out how she was going to over stock 6 pegs with the same hair curlers. As a test, I patiently waited, wishing there was a bell, but patiently none the less. When she finally finished overstuffing the pegs she coincidentally noticed me and sluggishly made her way over. She apologized so quietly I barely heard her and told her 'ok' excruciatingly quiet back. Thank God that transaction was over! End of my business with...
Read moreDaiso in Natomas is an absolute delight! This Asian dollar store is a fantastic addition to the area, bringing a unique blend of affordability and charm right to our doorstep. It's truly a paradise for anyone looking for great value and a touch of Asian-inspired fun. What I love most about Daiso is the incredible variety of goods. You can find everything from practical household items, clever storage solutions, and stylish stationery to beauty products, snacks, and, my personal favorite, the endless selection of cute little knickknacks for kids. Seriously, it's impossible to walk out of there empty-handed, especially if you have little ones who love discovering quirky and adorable treasures. The prices are genuinely affordable, with most items priced at just a few dollars. It's amazing how much you can get for your money here, making it perfect for stocking up on essentials or finding unique gifts without breaking the bank. The quality of the products is surprisingly good for the price, too! The store is always well-organized and bright, making for a pleasant shopping experience. It's the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time just Browse the aisles and discovering new, interesting items. Daiso in Natomas is a definite five-star spot – a must-visit for anyone who appreciates affordable, fun, and...
Read moreSuper unsafe practices being held here by closing employees. Two major issues that will be being reported to the City of Sacramento tomorrow (1/9/23):
1.) Main entrance/exit partially blocked (one door unblocked, one door blocked) by baskets. In most cases, one door is not enough for people to evacuate from in the event of a fire--let alone one door + another with tripping hazards in front of it.
2.) Lights being turned off by associates with 30 mins left open in business hours for the night--not only did the lights severely flicker for about 15 seconds which caused a migraine for me & might've induced a seizure in others, but if you have customers who are visually impaired or blind and they trip during these hours because of purposely decreased lighting in the store, not only is someone severely injured but that is a liability entirely & unnecessarily created by Daiso.
I know it may not seem like "that big of an issue", but when you injure someone, it will be.
Do not blame the closing employees if they were following protocol--they're just trying to make ends meet and follow orders. Hold whomever created this protocol responsible--it is not legal...
