We called ahead to see what the wait time and seating options were. There was no wait and a half booth available which was better than the 20 minute wait and no booth availability at the Arden location. The lights outside on the porch make it look so beautiful at night. We walked in and were greeted and seated right away. It wasn’t too busy for 9pm on a Friday night. There was a lot of staff compared to the amount of guests which tells me it was unexpectedly slow. We got our drinks from the waitress and ordered our appetizer through the little thing on the table. It came pretty quickly, surprisingly, and it was lukewarm and probably not fresh. The way the cheese didn’t ooze out when you bit into them demonstrated their lack of freshness. Next we received our salad and breadsticks. They were wrapped so nicely in a warm, cozy napkin. 😅 They’ve changed over the years, and are a bit saltier than preferred and what happened to the crumbles that used to be on top? 🤔 The salad and breadsticks are always delicious. The chicken and gnocchi soup was very good. Finally our food came and the ravioli was okay. I usually love any vegetarian ravioli I have access to but these were okay. I decided to try them this time because last time I tried the five cheese ziti which was mediocre as well. My friend got the chicken Alfredo which looked amazing and I might imagine it was considering their Alfredo sauce is really delicious. We took most of our food home. We were also charged for a game on the little thing on the table, so don’t touch it if you don’t want to be charged. We didn’t even play it, we were just looking around and all of a sudden the game started. 👎🏽 I didn’t realize it until later that night because I failed to do as my mom says and make sure the charges are accurate. The service was decent, the food was decent, and I might go here again. There is plenty of parking since this location is within a...
Read moreWe were basically accused of stealing salad since my son used an extra plate under my husband's soup as a regular plate to eat his bread. The server said she saw him using the plate so she charged us for a garden salad. First of all the salad plate was a separate plate that was chilled. The plate my son took was used to hold the soup bowl underneath. Secondly, if you look inside the plate my son used you would only see bread crumbs from the bread sticks. Thirdly, if they didn't want us using the extra plates on the table maybe they should have automatically brought out appetizer plates so my son could have had a plate to use. Fourthly, if the server noticed something was wrong like stealing, she should have brought it up when she saw it instead of saying at the end that it's company policy to charge for the salad since he used the salad plate. I wrote this because I want to set the record straight that my son did not steal your salad . Ok, he my have taken a few croutons off my plate. That's it. He only used the plate to eat his bread. Please please check your security cameras. And, next time, just give us appetizer plates in the beginning so we don't have to scrounge around for a plate to use or bother you to get a bread plate. Service was ok. Maybe too good now that I think about it. She was probably trying to gather evidence of this alleged "stealing." I got to say, that totally ruined the whole lunch experience for everyone. We basically just wasted $50 bucks for lunch. And not sure if my 12 year old son is scarred for life for being accused of stealing just because he wanted a plate to...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal Olive Garden customer for years and often order the lunch-size portion, sometimes requesting Alfredo sauce instead of the default. I visited recently and ordered the lunch-size pasta (about $13), asking the waitress to change the sauce to Alfredo. At no point did she mention there would be an extra charge.
When the bill came, I was shocked to see a $4 upcharge for the sauce change, bringing the price to the same as a full-size plate — which completely defeats the purpose of ordering the lunch size. When I politely asked about it, the waitress simply said, “This is just how we do it.”
I’ve been doing this swap at Olive Garden for years without ever being charged like this, and if they were going to charge extra, I should have been informed before ordering. This felt misleading and dismissive. Unfortunately, it left me very frustrated and disappointed with...
