DO NOT BUY BULK from this store. I have bought bulk previously at other stores as I find they are good to get a bunch of cards for my friends to build a cheap deck when they are first getting into MTG. I bought bulk at this store expecting a similar experience to other stores; 1000ish cards with some cards having 30ish duplicates, not 1000 cards with 20 different cards total in the box. I received nearly 200 of the same non-basic land card (Wind-Scarred Crag).
My interaction with the staff wasn't much better either, I had asked one of the staff members for a common rarity card that I know is typically hard to come by as it's highly sought after (slime against humanity), without moving from her spot she said no we don't have that card in a very rude tone. She also rudely told me that I should've first looked at their online inventory to see if they had the card. I would have looked at the online if I knew how to get to it, if you go to their website over half of the buttons don't work including the trading card singles one at the bottom of the home page.
Nicely enough one of the other staff walked over and actually looked for the card without me having to ask him. I understand that some cards are hard to come by but it would've been nice to see some sort of effort put into looking for the card.
The only reason I am giving this review a 2 star and not 1 is because this store had a overall good selection of product...
Read moreI bought the new D&D 5th edition PHB here during the first day of early release. Everything seemed fine until now (about 2 months later), when the book's binding completely let go and started dropping entire sections. Binding issues are apparently a widely-reported problem with the current 5e phb, and it has been widely discussed in various places online.
Normally this wouldn't be a knock against the store I bought it from, but I asked to return the book (I didn't have a receipt but I DID have the credit card I made the purchase with) for a replacement copy. Apparently, as I was told, because the book was very briefly okay when I bought it from them it doesn't count as "defective goods". This sounds ridiculous to me, especially since they're the ones who have access to official WOTC distribution channels (not me). This means I'm basically out $50 for a book that's literally falling apart after only 2 months. I could have easily waited a week or so and bought the book for $30 from amazon but I wanted to try and support a FLGS, and I feel kind of like I'm being punished for that decision.
I won't be back to this store; I will try to find another one that cares more about customer satisfaction, and I encourage you to...
Read moreYeah I want to support to my local card but buying a box for 240 upon release when tcg player says 170 is beyond me. The people that work there are great and I like that they are a place for people to go and play cards. Packs can be broken down and sold at a more reasonable price then tcg player. Guess I'll look for a new card shop until they become more consumer friendly.
P.s: adding more context this was for the new set of one piece. Second went to another card shop and got a pack for less then 6 but there was a purchase limit. (That's great...everyone can get some packs). Dreamers sold at 8.50 a pack. Scalpers have already ruined the community and selling 10 percent lower then their ebay prices still blocks people from the hobby. I recommend people to go and find a better...
