Milbern Clothing Co — Attraction in Saint Paul

Overall everything went great. We went in for the initial appointment for my wedding and were helped by Steve. He was very kind and knowledgeable about everything. Afterwards I had some regrets about what I had chosen and decided to go the custom suit route. I called and explained my thoughts and Steve told me I could come in at the end of their day so I could have a one on one session with him after they had closed and there would be no distractions. That meeting went great and I really felt like Steve was taking great care of me the whole process. He explained everything when I had questions and helped guide me throughout the whole process. Whenever I had a design question he would try and find an example in the shop of what the different choices looked like. I came out of that meeting much more confident and comfortable in my choice. There was one hiccup where they needed me to come back in to re-size me as the company making the suit had questions, but that wasn’t a big deal and was quick. I then got the call that it came in and I went to get it tailored, even the untailored version had me excited. It looked great! I came in a few weeks later after I got the call it was tailored, tried the suit on for a final time, and fell in love again! The suit looked amazing and I couldn’t be happier! Steve was showing it to everyone, so I think they were extremely pleased with it as well! Steve also gave me advice on the shoes and belt because I needed to buy those as well. When I told him I wasn’t sure how cufflinks worked he took out a pair and showed me how to put them on. I felt genuinely cared for and like he had my best interests at heart.

I was extremely pleased with Milbern outside of my suit buying experience as well. They were very accommodating in all my questions regarding groomsmen suits and other wedding processes. I was able to call them on short notice in order to get my Fiancée’s grandpa in for a sizing when there weren’t appointments on their website.

I hadn't bought a new suit on over 20 years, but I walked into Milbern on a Thursday afternoon to buy a suit for a funeral held 2 days later, so in a bit of a hurry.

Thankfully, I'm a fairly average-sized guy, so Frank, who met me when I walked in, and listened to me when I told him what I needed, helped me pick out an affordable new suit that is appropriate for most occasions (Navy blue). The jacket fit nicely off the rack, but the pant needed to be taken in in the seat and hemmed. I think I bought the least expensive suit they sell, but it still looks sharp, and my friends were impressed, as I guess Milbern dresses a lot of local sports and media celebs.

The alterations on the pants cost an additional $18 and change, (which I thought was pretty affordable), and Frank assured me they would be ready for pickup before close of business on Friday. Instead, Frank phoned me about 45 min later, and told me the pants were already altered, hemmed and ready for pickup.

This storefront is a little unassuming for how large the place is inside. It looked to me like they had 5 or 6 sales associates on the floor, and they seem to guide you through the entire process. My suit, with alterations was about $320, but I felt like I got the same treatment as if I were buying a $1,200 suit. I highly recommend Milbern...

Amazing place for finding affordable and stylish suits for your budget! Ron and Steve were awesome to work with. I needed a suit for myself and my six other groomsmen for my wedding, and they were able to find us seven beautiful suits within our budget.

My groomsmen and I loved working with Ron and Steve because they were really professional, knowledgeable, and—most of all—friendly and kind to us. Coming into the store, we didn't know much about suits or what would look good for the occasion, but Ron had amazing recommendations for the types of suits we could wear and what colors to use to match the bride and her bridesmaids.

When it came time to get our measurements, both Ron and Steve were fast and efficient—able to get all seven of our measurements done in under 45 minutes. We got all our suits ordered from here, and we all walked out feeling great about how our suits looked on us and the price we paid for them.

All in all, I think it was the spectacular customer experience we had with Ron and Steve that really made us decide to go with this store for our suits. Both were incredibly friendly and humorous, and they came across as very genuine in wanting to help us look our best for the occasion.
