After trying to find a certain specification safety boot for days, I landed up at Chucks boots on Saturday morning. I tried for about 20 minutes to find safety boots adhering to the specifications I was looking for but could not find any. I battled to find someone who could help me and in the end the gentleman I found referred me again to someone else. This person told me there are only 3 types of boots that comply to my spec. He could not find the one brand, the other brand did not comply as he told me and he only had a size 12 in the 3rd brand, I need a 13. He offered to call the other branch in Fenton and check if they have it. They confirmed they have it and will send it to St Peters branch by Tuesday. On Tuesday afternoon I called to check if the boots were there and was told the lady who works with that is not available, she will call me back. I am still waiting for that call. I went there this past Saturday to collect my boots. The "lady" could not find my order. She called someone else who did find my order card and told me it needs to come from the factory. I explained to them it was ordered from their other branch and it was supposed to be there the past Tuesday. Well, needless to say, I left the shop, no boots in hand and had to suffer the loss of one weeks wages because I had to wait for safety boots that never came. Doing some research later on, I found out that the boots they were trying to sell me, did not comply to the safety spec I need either. Great disappointment, I will NEVER shop at Chucks again. No apology, no trying to resolve the matter, nothing. Sorry, your service is...

I’ve always thought boots were a no-go for me. Wearing braces on both legs makes finding the right fit nearly impossible—or so I thought.
Then I decided to give Chuck’s Boots a call, and that’s where I met Zach, the MVP of customer service. 🏆
I explained my situation over the phone, half expecting the usual, “Sorry, we don’t have anything.” Instead, Zach hit me with, “I totally understand—I wear leg braces too.” Wait… what?
That never happens! He immediately put me at ease, saying, “I’ve got options for you. Come on in, and I’ll set you up.”
When I got to the store, Zach didn’t just meet expectations—he crushed them.
He took me straight to boots that were comfortable, worked perfectly with my braces, and actually looked great. As we chatted,
I learned more about his own experience with braces, and his honesty and kindness made the whole visit feel more like catching up with an old friend than shopping for boots.
Chuck’s Boots, you’ve got a gem in Zach.
This was hands down one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in ages. Thank you, Zach, and the rest of the team, for not only helping me find the perfect pair of boots but also for making me feel seen, heard, and completely comfortable.
My new boots are awesome—but this experience?...
Read moreI've been to both of their locations, and this one is my favorite. Compared to their Fenton location, I feel as though the shoe selection is better here, and they have more sizes available. I wear womens size 12 or 13, which they don't go up to. Therefore, I have to shop men's 11 or 11.5. My feet are narrow, so men's boots aren't always a great fit. The staff are amazing. Today, 2 gentlemen helped me out. One man gave me some suggestions, found certain sizes for me, or put back a pair I decided I didn't like as much. The customer service was better here than it was in Fenton. Although they have a ton of shoes, I will say I was a little disappointed in the selection of steel toe boots. Chucks carries like 80% composite toe, so actual steel toe boots were more difficult to find. I can't have alloy either, so that limited options. The pricing of the work boots was pretty typical. They had some sales going for certain shoes. The clothing selection is pretty good, too, but I thought they were a little overpriced even with 25% off. Overall, this is the place for work boots. I keep coming back because of the worker's kindness. As a girl in a male dominated field, it can be intimidating, but they make me feel welcome. I've seen a variety of types of customers around, and staff were also...
