When we first walked in the door, it was not good right off the bat. There was no hostess, and we waited about 10 minutes with no one coming to get us to sit down. Finally, the people that came in behind us went and found someone to get us sat. There were literally only two people working the entire restaurant (excluding whoever was in the back. I felt so bad for the lady who had our section which was the bar and everything around the bar. She took our drink order. We got no straws. She finally came back 10 minutes later when I asked for straws. (This is where it started going south). Another 10 minutes later she came to take our order. Hubby ordered a burger and tots, and I ordered the BBQ Chx Street Nachos without pico or jalapeños and the rest of the ingredients on the side. The order came out about 20 minutes later with my nachos loaded with everything I asked them to hold. (Restaurant was clearing by this point) So she took it back with no apology. After ANOTHER 20 minutes, and my husband having finished his meal, the nachos comes back out with a âHere you goâ, and still no apology. Nachos were luke-warm at best. We were really understanding when we first got there because we could see how short-staffed they were, but our server moved with NO sense of urgency. Hubby asked for a refill on his drink, and I needed one as well, but I assumed she saw that mine was empty, too. Nope. Nada. Had to ask for a refill on mine. By the time she came back with my refill, she did finally apologize for the delay and thanked us for our patience. (I think she could tell I had had it by this point). I wouldnât be rating this so poorly had our server moved around with a sense of urgency and checked on us a bit more, especially after people had started clearing out. We used to love coming here, but this place has seriously gone down hill! There wasnât even a manager in sight...
Read moreFood tasted fine. Portion sizes were comically small for the cost. I ordered a shrimp pasta for my wife and a mushroom swiss burger with cole slaw for myself. They first handed me just her pasta and the coleslaw, no burger in the bag at all. They then came back with a burger in the bag. Good thing I checked it was not my burger, it was a completely different burger. My wifes pasta was so light on the pasta and shrimp she asked if there was a second box. 4 shrimp and 1 cup of pasta for 17$. It looked like a child's portion. There was 1/4 c of coleslaw in the container. It was 2 small bites. Raising Canes slaw portion has more slaw in the portion container they use then the HUGE container my slaw was in. The burger was the size of a McDouble with 5 slices of mushroom (I counted them) on it for 15$. I get things are more expensive BLAH BLAH BLAH. There was one customer in the restaurant. It smelled dirty, employees were leaning on the tables and the bar. How can you mess up the only togo order out of the 2 orders you had working when I got there. I'm pretty sure the burger that I took out of the restaurant and put my hands all over checking it to see if was mine was sent out to the customer waiting in the dining room for his food. There was a spot of burnt cheese on the burger that I was first given and it was the same burn on the persons burger in the dining room when they brought it to him about 2 minutes after I was holding it in my hands. Gross. We will not be back. We would have mabey gone to another location but the shrinking food for more money will be company wide. Stay away from this store something feels off about it. The owners reply is a joke. I laughed. We will not be back. Your restaurant is a bad value with a crew who doesn't know what to do. 2 mess ups on one...
Read moreIn the U.S., weâre expected to tip every time we dine out, but this experience at Ruby Tuesday showed why that system is flawed. The waitress barely did the minimum and made it clear she just wanted the tip and for us to leave, not to provide good service or even try to earn a good tip. Despite only having three other tables, including two that politely tried to guide her on service (one thing she did for exmaple is she brought out appetizers, main meal, and dessert all within seven minutes before anyone even finished a salad from the bar), she was dismissive and unhelpful the entire durstion of our visit. We tipped out of obligation, but this was a clear example of why tipping should depend on service quality, not expectation. The hostess was equally unfriendly and unprofessional; apparently, we bothered her during her lunch hour I guess. She proceeded to go to the salad bar, get food, and eat at the podium, and if anyone asked anything, she used nonverbal cues, including with us. She was the opposite of a friendly hostess.
Did I mention this was a lunch date because it was my husband's birthday and even though informed no one there even bothered with s happy birthday back. They don't have to celebrate with us but normal service would at least reply back.
We wonât be returning to this location.
2/10 - the 2 is for the food. The food as always delivered. Their employees were the turn off so we will go to a different location. The one in Fenton, MO is under renovation their customer service is some of the best you could ask for. The waitress comes by and checks, let you eat and brings food intermittently, refills drinks with eye rolls, even paying the check is better there because of the different processes that they both use. Fenton please...
