My mom and I decided to drive from St Louis to the St Peter's location for lunch on 1/19. When arrived the the hostesses were nice and we were pleased to be seated promptly. The major issue was with our waitress. Our service started off fine, as my mom and I both ordered soup and salad. We know your waiter/waitresses are suppose to come back to the table to check on their customers but it was overwhelming too much! While my mom and I were eating and in conversation with one another, our waitress would interrupt with asking if we need anything else, which was extremely unacceptable! At one point she startled my mom as she brought my moms initial bowl of hot soup, but thank God their was no mishap! Additionally while still eating, with plenty food still on our table and with wine still in our glass, our waitress returned to our table AGAIN asking if we wanted desserts. At this point we felt rushed, declined desserts and continued with our meal. Later, our waitress laid the folder on our table with bill enclosed and candy on top. Our bill was $19.41. My mom said she would take care of it and I informed my mom I would separately take care of the tip. My mom gave me a 20 dollar bill, I put it in the folder and laid it back on the table. At this time, while still sitting at the table my mom went to the rest room and said she will be back to join me. During this time our waitress came to pick up the folder. When our waitress returned, she expressed she did not have any smaller coins available so she just put 50 cents in the folder for our change. I wasn't thinking at the time and just said ok due to I was checking some information on my phone. As I opened the folder, again I was going to separately take care if her tip, I then realized that change she gave us back was 50 cents instead of the correct 59 cents. Apparently she seen me looking at it and she asked me if I needed anything? At this point I brought it to her attention and she flat out told me she kept the 9 cent because she did not have any smaller coins. I informed her that she needed to go get my moms 9 cent. She expressed she will need to go to the bar to break a dollar. She came back and brought me a dime. When my mom returned I expressed her all that had transpired and she was outdone with the matter! We got our belongings and I informed my mom I will be speaking with Manager on our way out. As we were on our way to the front, we seen our waitress talking to a gentleman at the bar with a look on her face as if she were complaining about something, and when she seen us, she turned away...so that speaks volumes for me! End result, I did speak with a young lady manager and expressed what happened. The manager apologized but it did not hold any value and really did not make us feel any better about the situation. Our waitress represented your company poorly and her behavior cost her a nice tip. It's the total principal of the matter and our visit at this location was a wash and service was totally UNACCEPTABLE! While traveling to this location, we passed right by a different location. Because of this particular employee of yours, the St Peters location was a mistake! The 1 star I provided was for the hostesses at the front door, whom all were...
Read moreMy family of four went there last night. Our experience was probably the absolute worst experiences I have ever had in my entire life (restaurant wise). Our waitress Lauren made it very clear that she was ready to leave and did not want to take our table. We were upfront about my fiancé’s dietary restrictions due to health and tried to be as patient as possible throughout the meal. We all ordered the unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks as our meals except for my 10 year old who got a kid’s meal. The food was great, but getting the food (and water refills) was ridiculous. Lauren kept disappearing and waiting lengthy amounts of time in between checking in to see if we needed anything. When she did show up, we would tell her what refills we needed all at once so that way she didn’t have to run around more than needed. Every time she would forget something, so we would politely ask again. At one point in time, my fiancé asked for water refills and instead of getting the water refills, she proceeded to buss the table behind us. When we asked for to go containers, a lid for dressing, and a to go dressing. She seemed to not care and said “okay. You can pay at this kiosk.” My fiancé stated we would pay once we got the to go containers. She put 3 regular boxes on our table (again we all had soup), but we were able to use the boxes for left over salad and I ended up cramming breadsticks in the other. He again reminded her that we needed a to go dressing and lid/container. She went to the back and then proceeded to walk back out to our table and slam the containers on our table and “say here ya go” with the most ignorant tone and smirk. I asked for the manager and the manager “Billy” aka William Bond (he didn’t provide his real name) came out and listened to our grievances and came back with a $25 gift card. We explained that the money was not the problem, but the audacity and ignorance we received from our waitress was absolutely unacceptable. We paid our bill $51 and left. I understand having a long day, maybe a bad day. All things that we tried to consider, but treating customers this way is insane. If your day is going that bad, then leave. If this waitress still has a job after showing her a$s in front of my kids, then I hope that minimally management will retrain her and make sure that she figure out how to treat paying customers appropriately before they allow her to continue being customer facing. Our family will not be back to this location, which is sad considering I have so many memories throughout the years here, but the lack of true concern and acknowledgment of how unacceptable this experience was, has made it clear for me that this is not a place to spend my hard earned money. We expressed very clearly that it was not about the money, but about the fact that they should not allow their waitresses to treat customers so poorly so the $25 gift card was truthfully pointless and almost insulting....
Read moreHuge change in Service! I haven’t been back since March which we had 6 people The service was excellent . The quality of the food was excellent. This time We had 9 people at the table waited patiently 30 minutes which what wait was going to be. I could tell our server was doing the best she could. The quality of the food could have been much better. I had soup n salad as my meal. My first bowl chicken & gnocchi had 2 tiny dumplings bits of chicken rest was broth. The second bowl I got was decent. The salads served to us had no dressing on them, hardly any olives a few pepperoncini’s, we even scraped the bottom of the bowl to see if there was dressing. The salad leafs didn’t look great. I was extremely disappointed I had to asked for a side of dressing which we got in a monkey bowl. Passed it on to someone else because they needed dressing to. Breadsticks were hot & tasty. Our server had 2 different runners that helped her with all the food which was nice. It’s just disappointing I was going to order a entree for $6.00 to add to the bill but I changed my mind it just seemed too much to ask and waiting for it. I’m not going complain on the server she was nice to get apple juice for me because my sugar was dropping. I use to work at the restaurant years ago . After coming back I was shocked on the quality. Another thing the ladies restroom was horrible. Trash wasn’t dumped, filthy, restroom needed to be cleaned. If you going to have a automatic paper towel on the wall that doesn’t work then take it down. Or put out of order on it. I finally figured out where the other paper towels were. Another thing how about seeing a manager on the floor asking their customers how the food and service was. I know the restaurant is hiring the Pandemic has changed everything but the least thing you can do is have a manager out there to see how everything is going which shows the customers you care. I will give it a try one more time. Hopefully it will be a better experience next time. If not I guess I will go...
