We had looked at going to one of the fancier pumpkin patches, but I am very glad we didn't. First off, this patch was closer to us, open later, which let my husband join us after work, and less expensive than the other patches. So it was already far more convenient. But then we got there and found how well suited it was for kids! Out back there are tire swings, a kids fort surrounded by an easy to navigate maze, tube slides, and an antique tractor drawn "pony" ride. All of this is surrounded by funny tombstones and a variety of "add your face" picture spots, as well as lots of antique tractors available to sit on for pictures. In the middle were our favorites. There is an area set up with antique corn grinders and antique tools used for pulling the corn off the cob, all ready for the kids to try! My daughter didn't want to leave that one, but she loved the corn boxes even more. About a dozen 5x5 bins full of corn kernels and toy farm equipment. I played in and was buried in the corn, and it is a very comfy and fun sensory experience, like a cool weighted blanket on a comfy bed. Closer to the entrance are a petting zoo, a hay bale maze, and lots of lovely pumpkins - the classic experience to add to all the fun extras out back, and once again well suited to kids. We got some apple butter and jam, as well as a sugar pumpkin with a character painted on it! Highly recommend...
Read moreBy the time we arrived at the door and realized almost no one was wearing a mask our son was already super excited. We went and tried to be as careful as possible, but not a single employee wore a mask, only a few families wore masks, and it was nearly impossible to socially distance especially with parents barely watching their children. There was a single thing of hand sanitizer by the petting zoo. I don't know if it was supposed to be a cute halloween thing or what, but their hand sanitizer was neon green. We washed our hands in the bathroom at the end, but even that looked like it had not been cleaned in a hot minute. At the very end I saw a sign poking fun at Corona that did not set well with us. Being 8 months pregnant and having in laws who are at a higher risk for complications we try to be as safe as possible, but we still want to go out to places taking proper precautions so that our son can still enjoy being a kid. A disappointing and stressful experience if you are at all trying to stay healthy. The activities were exactly as described on the website and they were cute. Our son did have a good time. It was just crowded and there were no...
Read moreHave been to Daniels Farm and Greenhouse many many times over the years.. have given them a large amount of business such a yearly flowers ..trees..landscaping etc.. And ya know .. all it takes is one sour experience to send you somewhere else.. there are too many nice greenhouses in my area to put up with a totally disinterested couple of counter people.. inquiring where something is and they point vaguely in the general direction instead of showing me .. which turned out not to be where the item was..(waste of time) .. was not impressed with their spring flower pottings.. and on asking about another item .. I was told the item could not be had anywhere for a couple months.. (turns out the next nursery I tried was getting an order in by Friday.. 2 days.. thank you Market Basket...
