Please do not give these people your business & money. My wife has been taking our dog to Cave Springs Pet Hospital since she was a puppy, over 6 years. We drive about 35 minutes to continue to take her there after we moved a few years ago and due to her allergies bring her every 6 weeks for shots. I had an unpleasant experience during my last visit and wanted to speak to management. I was connected with the âPractice Managerâ who was extremely rude, dismissive of my concerns and patronizing throughout the conversation. I asked her who the owner was and she told me âBlue Riverâ I asked to speak to them and was told I would be contacted by âMandyâ I received a call from a Chicago, IL number that came up as âBRPC Holdingsâ I expressed my concerns, mentioned why I was upset and said thereâre are a lot of options closer to us. We were having a good conversation until I brought up that in todayâs world, consumers have numerous choices and can share our experiences through online platforms, Mandy became irate and said I was threatening to smear her business, BRPC via social media and try to cause harm to their name. She immediately said they will be sending our medical records via certified mail and that they didnât need our business. I tried to explain that wasnât what I was communicating, tried to reason with her and she continued to say she wouldnât be threatened. Funny how the word âprofitsâ came up a few times in the short call and was given the impression they own 30+ business like our local vet. This made it very clear to me that they donât actually care about our pets or my concerns. Itâs sad because us animal lovers care so much about our furry little family members and we have these big conglomerations that clearly donât. We now have to find a new vet -...
Read moreIf you are looking for a vet with zero knowledge, lacks compassion and shows no empathy, this is your place. Dr. Rizzolo was the discharging vet on duty when I came to pick up my 4 year old dog from a procedure that morning. At noon, I had received a call telling me his procedure went well, vitals were good, and to pick up at 5 pm. When I arrived at 5 pm, my dog was coughing (choking sound) and had just become distressed. Really? This suddenly came on? The tech took him into the back room to assess the situation. We are now quickly approaching closing time and Dr. Rizzolo came in the room and showed me an xray. I asked what I was looking at (she pointed to some white spots) and her answer was âI donât knowâ. I asked if he was having a reaction from his procedure and she said âI donât knowâ. I asked if he had become distressed earlier in the day what would you be doing to help him she replied âI donât knowâ. My mind is blown at this moment that a Dr canât offer any idea on what is making my dog distressed. I asked Dr. Rizzolo what choices I had and she said I could either have him euthanized or take him to the emergency vet clinic that offers care after hours. Euthanized? He is 4 years old. I made the decision to take him to the emergency vet. When the tech and Dr brought my dog to me, they handed him over like it was a transaction. They werenât petting him, cheering him on to get better, nothing. They just wanted to go home. Unfortunately, my dog passed away the next day. A week had passed and I had not heard at all from anyone at this business to check on my dog or express their condolences. There are plenty of other knowledgeable and compassionate veterinarians in our area. Please choose any place other than Cave Springs...
Read moreI've had a cat my entore life and before June 2014 I used a different animal hospital. They were not friendly, never remembered me, and I couldn't walk out for under $200 for every visit. In June of 2014 a friend of mine found a small kitten in the engine of her vehicle and posted a picture of her on FB. I responded and took the kitten. I called Dr. Kelly Brister (her sons and my son play football together) and she came over and looked her over for me. She told me she thought she was pretty tiny for her age and asked me to make an appointment and bring her in to her clinic, Cave Springs Pet Hospital. For 4 years I had only known Dr.Brister as Kelly, football mom, so this was the first time seeing her in action with my pet. We named our new kitten Hollis and on her first appointment she weighed 1.9 lbs.age estimated to be 7 weeks. In less than a week Hollis' condition worsened and when I brought her in again she was down to 1.45 lbs!!! Dr. Brister explained the hard truth to me that Hollis needed to improve in the next 24 hours or I would need to consider euthanasia. My kids and I were devastated. She sent us home with canned food and a prescription. In about 4 days Hollis started to slowly improve adding an ounce or two a day to her tiny little body. Even Dr. Brister was amazed. Every single time I bring Hollis in the receptionists remember us, well probably more than likely they remember Hollis because she's pretty darn cute. I am warmly greeted every time I enter Cave Springs Pet Hospital. There is a separate entrance for cats and dogs, and they are extremely punctual. And when it's time to pay I don't have heart failure at the cost. For the first time as a pet owner I'm not avoiding the vet because of over-priced...
