As an artist, I often seek out places that inspire me. Saint Simons Island Pier is undoubtedly one of those enchanting spots that beckon the creative spirit. This picturesque pier, nestled on the Georgia coastline, offers a captivating blend of natural beauty and coastal charm that is nothing short of inspiring. The first thing that strikes you about the Saint Simons Island Pier is its timeless appeal. It stretches gracefully into the Atlantic Ocean, framed by a backdrop of swaying palm trees and a seemingly endless horizon. The play of light and shadows on the wooden planks of the pier creates a dynamic interplay of colors and textures that is a dream for any artist's palette. As an artist, I find endless inspiration in the ever-changing moods of the ocean. The Saint Simons Island Pier provides a front-row seat to observe the tides, the shifting colors of the water, and the dance of the waves. Whether it's the soft pastel hues of dawn breaking over the horizon or the vibrant oranges and purples of a coastal sunset, this pier offers an artist an endless array of captivating scenes to translate onto canvas. The pier itself is a work of art, with its weathered wood, charming railings, and a steady stream of people strolling along its length. It's a place where you can observe the everyday life of a coastal community and capture the stories etched into the faces of the fishermen and visitors who frequent the pier. Their presence adds a unique human element to any painting or sketch. Saint Simons Island Pier also offers a chance to experiment with various artistic styles and techniques. From plein air painting to detailed watercolor sketches, this location invites artists to explore their creativity. The pier's intricate details, from the texture of the wood to the interplay of light and shadow, provide endless opportunities for artistic expression. To be so fortunate and live close to the beach & walk on the pier anytime your heart desires! Even if you are just visiting the area, The Pier is the place you cannot miss. Gather with friends, watch your children play in the nearby park or chase the birds. Go fishing if you wish... just don't miss it!

The locals call this place the village on Saint Simon's Island. The Pier isn't just a beautiful tourist attraction or a tranquil place to see the sights. It's the "Crown Jewel" of Saint Simon's Island. Locals and out of town guests visit this place to eighter seek tranquility and peice. Whether you're on vacation with your family or if you're a local, fishing isn't the only reason to fill your time on the Pier. You can see this place as a perfect place to purpose to your sweetheart, soak up the sun, see the sunrise, or see the City Linear bridge from a far while watching the extrodanry sunset It's also a place where you can shop at the many gift shops and get ice cream at a couple of the many ice cream shops, clothing stores eat at the most popular restaurant known as the Iguanas sea food restaurant. Witch is a five-star restaurant and bar that will accommodate your mouth-watering craving's and quench your thirst at the restaurant bar. Their staff has impeccable customer service, and they will take down your food orders with professionalism and compassion. And if you want to wet your whistle some place else. The village also has the lofty atmosphere of the Rafters bar and pool haul right next door to the Iguanas seafood restaurant and bar. So, if you want to find a wonderful place to seek tranquility and zin, come visit the Saint Simons Island Pier inside the Village at Saint Simon's Island. I promise you won't be disappointed.

We've been here what feels like 100 times. Take in some of the most beautiful views, especially at sunset. It is so interesting watching people fish and crab, with plenty of cleaning stations, it's an educational experience even if you are not into fishing yourself. Now that we are locals, this is a nice getaway, and even during the busy tourist seasons; this is still a spacious and inviting place to relax. The surrounding shops, visitor's center, playgrounds, and restaurants are our go to for browsing and dinning. It's a great spot to hang out even on hot days, and a great way to take in the ocean without going to the beach. Of course you could always walk down to the beach when the tide is out depending on the time of day.

This summer I'm most certain you will be seeing me! I absolutely love this place. Lots of shops and restaurants around but my favorite part is by far the people and the fish. The pier is very spacious with really awesome fishing. You can cast for mullet and shrimp right off the pier. Other awesome thing land in our cast nets as well 😉. Let me go ahead and name just a few things you'll be able to catch yellowtail, croaker, Whiting, sharks, stingrays, flounder, Spanish mackerel, a good time, a buzz, and friends. Lol. The pier is open 24/7. I absolutely love it! They have outlets located along the pier for whatever you may need. You can bring gas grills or electric griddles, burners, whatever you please. I aways bring griddle and burnners. Oh. Also plenty of cleaning stations with fresh water. I'll catch clean and cook right on the pier. Great crabbing as well. Bait shop conveniently located right on the shopping strip as well. Definitely can't go wrong with this spot. It's very well lit so enjoy whatever whenever. My name is Whitley I really hope to see...
