JL"s is great and we love our new Speed Queen Washer machine! We called yesterday because the refurbished washer machine (that we had purchased from a local competitor about a year ago) suddenly broke. This was the third time that we had to replace our washer machine in three years. (We have tried two different local, independent appliance companies before finding JL's.) The first company sold us a very expensive front load, stackable, "ventless" washer-dryer combination for over $3,000 but the digital screen was defective and failed to work during the installation test. BUMMER. The worst part was no one at the company knew how to fix it and so, we returned the defective units. What a pain in the ... AAAAAAAnyway, after that, we decided to save money and buy refurbished machines from a small local business that was a one person operation. Unfortunately, the washer broke down twice in two years. We called the owner to ask about a (second) repair but he didn't call back after we waited 3 days. So, we did a google search and found JL's. We called and explained the problem with the broken washer (to Lois) and she knew all about the make and model that we had. We discussed our situation, the dimensions of our space and what we wanted. Lois was very familiar with the different brands and was able to explain the features, strengths and drawbacks of each possibility that we were interested in. We appreciated that she did not pressure us in any way. Lois provided us with detailed answers to the questions we had in a clear, straight-forward and friendly manner. We decided to buy a new Speed Queen. Lois arranged to have Timothy and Juan deliver and install the new washer the very next day. The technicians arrived on time and were very courteous and respectful. It was a very tight spot to move the washer into but they took great care to not hit the door jam or scratch the floor (The previous one-man company damaged our door and wood flooring by trying to drag the machine without an assistant.) Timothy and Juan finished the job perfectly, protected our home and even cleaned the dust up behind the old washer before installing the new one! JL's was great! They hauled the old machine away and the entire process went smoothly. The team was smart, efficient, respectful and pleasant to work with. Best of all, our new washer matches our needs and budget, It is exactly what we wanted! We will make sure to tell our friends about them and when it is time to replace the dryer, we will definitely be back.They were honest, affordable, fast and hassle free....

First I called office to find out where I was on list & I was happy I didn't miss him coming to my home. I explained I worked night shift for client who has cancer & is dying in her home & that I was on my way to my house. lady on the phone explained that's okay no problem . She was nice and explained it wouldn't be a problem because service guy (Trevor)was not finished with his first house of the morning but he should be there after 9am. I asked if he could call me to let me know how far away he was from my home. He called and seemed ok on phone spoke decent. I again explained why I wasn't home and where I was traveling from (Stayton) he seemed ok with it. Even said guess we will be pulling in at same time. Then when he arrived at my house he proceeded to give me a lecture why I wasn't at the house and how I was supposed to be waiting for him. I told him well I'm here now and there no need to act that way we both came to my house about the same time. He then proceeded to give me an ultimatum and asked me if I would like him to leave. I told him no. I'd actually like you to do your job and come in here and fix washer. I could tell he wanted to push it and leave but He seemed reluctant and came in house anyways. but I could tell he thought about leaving by his face and body gesture. He fixed my washer in under 20 mins which I was pleased with and the fact that he left quickly! I was happy to have his horrible mannerism and energy to leave my home. Paid for service was minimum I paid cash and he gave receipt. Not sure I would want him to come back to my house. It's unfortunate he thought of himself so high and mighty. Read moreUnfortunately we have had to use this place more than once because we rent. When we had to get our washing machine motor fixed it was hard enough to get them to come out and when they did the motor they replaced it with didnt even last one full cycle. When they needed to come back out that took just as long and when we called to see where they were they wanted my husband to start on it over the phone because they were behind. We wouldn't have called you guys if we knew what to do. Now our stove needs service so they come out on a Monday say we will call you back in the morning. We had to call back Tuesday after noon. The person said oh yea looks like it was approved let me call you back. We say ok still not knowing what was approved, fix and repair or replace. Heard nothing back until we called back on Thursday and they can't even find the invoice so they need to call the rental company back. Mind you it is now closed. Was told from the owner "we will send someone out there between 9am-10am and i will call you first thing in the morning after I pin Dan down at 8am when he gets here to see what happened to the invoice. This shouldnt come as a surprise now I had to call back at 9:50am. One of the owners said we have someone coming out like I said. I reminded him what he said and why send someone out if we dont know what exactly needs to be done. He said oh, let me call the rental company and see what was approved. He gets back on the line amd said they approved the top to get repaired. So our person is leaving the store now.
