We were so happy to find something for us to do.My kids were very excited. The front desk lady welcomed us with a very rude tone, nothing but rude remarks to us. I didn’t even get to finish checking in with her. She kept complaining about the kids because he went and sat to watch the movie while I was checking in, Because my 3 yr old she said “ran” to him. The hostile environment wasn’t for us. If she’s already complaining and we haven’t even officially entered how can we enjoy this museum. My kids are 5 and 3. They didn’t even talk or yell, . They were literally just excited to see and learn about this museum. I told the lady up front this would have been such a good experience for us but her rudeness and hostile remarks and comments have ruined it for us. Their mother is right here she doesn’t need to say anything. Also, she was very rude about the water I had and how I didn’t know the check in process. . Too bad. it really ruins it for people when you have such a grouchy lady in the front. We won’t be back. Hopefully she didn’t count us...
Read moreThis is a great museum for kids. We had 3 with us, aged 12, 10, and 8, and they really enjoyed themselves. To get the full experience, you have to stop at the front desk and pick up the scavenger hunt (different ones for different ages), and you've got to spend some time in "the lab" working on solving the mysteries.
The scavenger hunt has things to find throughout the museum, and keeps the kids looking and reading. The "lab" area is really wonderful, too. I don't remember the exact name of this exhibit, but kids work on "mysteries" where they go to different stations, observe/read, and answer questions to solve. Someone has put some time into this, and we could have spent a good hour just in that spot.
In the end, the kids also received little prizes for completing the scavenger hunt....

And it is loud hahahahaha! But it was so much fun. Il definitely be to ng again soon! The museum is clean and tidy. There are multiple "Sanitizer Stations" throughout the building stocked and ready to be used. It has a small but beautiful shoppe next to the entrance desk. If u enjoy history and science then check the out! Right now they have an interactive "bomb" shelter.
