Umami Bowl — Restaurant in Salina

I came in looking for pho. The man behind the counter didn’t even give me a chance to look at the menu. He asked if it was for here to go. I stated I wanted my food to go and he assumed I wanted some rice dish. I was thinking it maybe they gave you rice in the side. But comes to find out no. I couldn’t understand what the man was saying and kept asking him to repeat himself multiple times. The proteans didn’t stated what kind of meat it was. So I just said the far left(bad mistake) he then said I had a choice of vegetables umm literally these veggies look nasty and as if they were frozen and I thawed days ago. I got the greasy greasy green beans. He offered me sauce mind you nothing’s labeled at all. I had him tell me what everything was. He then waited for someone else to pay. He didn’t offer me to get anything like a lime or cilantro or fresh veggies. I asked to get the lime and etc. He seemed very irritated that I asked. I paid $9 for a bowl of food that wasn’t even pho. I’m highly sad I love pho and I got some nasty rice bowl that I literally drowned in soy sauce and then ate a few bites of it to throw it away. It was a waste of food. I have no idea what kid of meat I got but I literally wouldn’t eat it again. The food was so bland and literally stunk. My mom almost puked from the smell. It tasted worse than the smell. So 10 out of 10...

I ordered a beef bowl and asked to add extra shrimp (double portion). When I went to pay, I noticed they charged me for a shrimp bowl (higher price) plus “additional protein” for both beef and shrimp — even though I had ordered a beef bowl with added shrimp.

When I asked, they explained that they “charge the higher bowl” as the base and still add extra protein charges for each protein — and both were charged at the same price. The register screen only displayed “additional protein,” with no breakdown, so there was no way to know what I was actually being charged for until I questioned it.

The employee did fix the charge after I pointed it out and said he would do it this time, but the pricing system was unclear and could easily lead to customers being overcharged.

Unfortunately, the food itself wasn’t great — the shrimp was extremely salty and barely edible, and the rice was undercooked. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I won’t...

The food is great and the service even better. I went with my girlfriend and son, we ordered and set our food on the table and my son accidentally tipped the table and knocked our food on ourself and the floor. My son was fine but a bit scared and embarrassed. An employee came up quickly with a rag to help clean him immediately then i took him to the bathroom to wash him up a little more. It only took maybe 2 minutes of clean up but by the time we were done they had replacement meals pretty much finished and ready for us. We enjoyed the rest of our meal there and even with the accident we had a great evening out. Definitely...
