A "must try" place right off I70. To be clear if we were locals I would stop by every day. I think the super friendly team we met were a mother and daughter. They were super patient as we perused the menu and selected a variety of mostly healthy breakfast options on our first visit.

I loved the loaded apple & walnut oatmeal, perfectly toasted bagel, and iced latte. My husband, the carnivore, was pleasantly surprised at how much he liked Becky's Bierock. He is not a coffee guy and MUCH prefers eggs and bacon for breakfast but lovingly accommodates my love of the Java and the places that supply it.

I saw signs that they are moving to a new location but they still had enough good books left for me to find a bagful!

Bottom line, husband and i agree, next year's trip to KS will include a stop at their...

This was my first visit and I’m pleased. I usually frequent Starbucks, but I decided to find something new, closer, and that served coffee that doesn’t upset my stomach. It appears Ad Astra moved recently because this location looks great inside. It’s quite inviting and relaxing. If you stay, they will put your hot drink in a nice mug instead of a paper cup. I liked that because it stayed warmer longer. I also tried the Fudge Caramel Chocolate Brownie and it is wonderful and rich. This month they have a Toasted Coconut Chocolate Latte, as well as some others, but I gave it a try and it was very good! Overall, I think this will be my new go to spot in town. They appear to embrace all in the community too. I love seeing an inclusive business! You should...

Lately, I've been finding myself a little getaway that I never knew I needed. Ad Astra coffee shop has been having a dj play some music on wednesday and its been a great break from the normal day to day art scene of Salina! He even played some house and trance music, which is very welcome in a city that frequents top 40. DEFINITELY did not expect to hear some Tinlicker (wierd name, but epic dj!) in Salina!!! I was also able to snag a caramel machiatto, which was very tasty and wasn't like the normal ones you get from starbucks! If you could continue to have this DJ playing jams on vinyls, it would be greatly appreciated. I plan to keep coming back any chance I get to hear electronic music here!!! Thank you for being the oasis away from the norm I...

Ad Astra Coffee Shop in Salina, Kansas, is hands down one of the coolest coffee spots on the road. It’s a little off the main highways, but absolutely worth the detour to downtown—trust me, the whole downtown is sick. The vibe here is top-tier: warm, inviting, and just the right mix of modern and cozy. The coffee? Next level. Whether you’re a straight-up black coffee purist or into craft lattes, they nail it every time. Their espresso is rich, their pour-overs are smooth, and they clearly care about quality. And if you’re into pastries or light bites, you won’t be disappointed. If you’re road-tripping through Kansas or just passing by Salina, make the stop. Ad Astra is easily one of our favorite coffee shops in the state, and once you visit, you’ll get why.

The cutest coffee shop in Salina! So happy we stopped in. The atmosphere here is welcoming and cozy. My parents and I ordered iced coffees and my sister an iced chai, we all said our drinks were delicious! Employees were very kind and I was even given the oat milk to pour myself which I loved. It’s the little things :) We are visiting from Florida and we don’t see a lot of coffee shops like this one very often. I adored all the plants and books they had to look at too. Totally recommended to anyone visiting or just stopping by town, you’re also supporting a small business!
