Walked in, sat down at a table, and quickly picked up a menu from another table. Thought I would catch brunch before it ended. Literally watched 3 servers all look at me and discuss the fact that I was there at the table, yet with no acknowledgment. Mind you I wasn't there very long, but it's pretty sad that I sat there and witnessed all of the servers acknowledge to eachother that I was seated there (even walking over to tell another server) and nobody said a word to me. Instead, they avoided eye contact. That is the irritating part, that it was obvious nobody wanted to wait on a new guest. The bartender was gabbing with guests seated at the bar, servers were standing at a table eating, and there was 1 server moving around up front. I'm not sure if because everybody feels like they are done for the day, so the mentality is that, unfortunately, SOMEONE has to take a table? UGH, yea, that sucks. You see, I was a server for YEARS, so I know the mentality. This restaurant was recommended to me. I'm from out of town and wanted to try something different. I will be traveling here for work. But I won't be dining at your establishment to eat. After reading other reviews, my very short but NOTICEABLE experience seems to be a common theme. I'm glad I didn't spend my money on what was sure to be an even bigger letdown than the initial one. There's...
Read moreGreat place i dont go all the time but the two times ive been its really cozy and inviting. Like the laid back feel and the environment. I tried the protein bowl on my first visit which was full of all kind of good healthy stuff. It was more than enough food the only draw back was the toast (burnt to a crisp)could have skipped it as it wasnt close to being good. Second time around was today and man the Ore-Ida was filling tator tots, jalapeno white gravy, and a chicken fried steak stacked with sunny side eggs talk about a hungry mans dinner put this one at the top of the list. It was #AMAZING i would also say if you've never had chicken and waffles its a big hit at this place. Im not a big out to eat guy and most certainly not a brunch fellow but this place really makes you step outside the norm with open arms. Put this place on the must visit place to eat im Salina. Id love to see them add some more menu items just because it could only help the ratings even though they're pretty darn good. Hint: big stack pancakes layered with bacon drizzeled with syrup and a side of scrambled eggs. Call it the Blue Sky Breakfast Special. Good job overall im a fan. Should be a five star but you have to add scrambled eggs to the menu cant have breafast without scrambled eggs. Sorry no pic got to draw you out to see...
Read moreThe Blind Tiger Milk Stout is good and smooth.
The Peanut Butter Burger was very tasty. The chipotle and sricha worked well with the peanut butter to make a great flavor for the burger. I would order this again.
The onion rings were very good and well worth the additional $1 over the standard fries. My wife got the side salad with her burger and it was large and full of tomatoes and croutons. - Aug 2018
We were disappointed that they were out of their Oatmeal Stout. We got their Brown and their Watermelon Blonde. They were both drinkable and ok.
The Peanut Butter Burger was tasty again. I got the side salad with it this time and was happy with it.
My wife got the Fresh Mex Rice Bowl. She said it was good and would get it again. She didn't see much brown rice in it and would like a little less sauce next time.
Our waitress, Taylor, was friendly and fantastic. She showed up multiple times at just the right points. We never had to wait or chase her down. She brought our waters and beers quickly. ...
