This place amazing to see. It was Saturday afternoon and no plans for the day. I decided to go to the Waterfront Park. Truly Incredible to visit and so much to do. Once we arrived we parked in the public parking lot. Our journey began with stopping at the theater. There was an Art Show taking place. A young lady greeted us at the door. She was kind and friendly from the start. Opening the door and holding it for us while welcoming us to the Art Show. She waved the admission to enter too. We enjoyed meeting the photographer who the event was for she was warm and friendly. Introducing us to her work and telling us the history of the photos she displayed and why she choose them. After the show we went to the waterfront park. This was another beautiful place to see. So peaceful and exciting to see. I highly recommend it and the pictures I took will explain why? Please take the time to visit this place with your family, friends and children too. There is a restaurant attached and I wish I got the name of it and it’s employees. This was another interesting place to visit. The two people I interacted with deserve praises. I entered the restaurant to use the restroom and was greeted by a gentleman who had high spirits and courteous. Being with a handicapped friend in a wheelchair he had to use the restroom the gentleman was eager to assist me while entering and welcoming us at the same time. As he gave us directions to the restroom we were soon greeted by the female bartender who was young and very exciting to interact with while coming from behind the bar to assist us. She have a lovely and warm smile. These two people are what makes a restaurant experience so exciting. The customer service was...
Read moreThe city of Newburyport has managed to shoot themselves in the foot by dragging out the construction on this Park, which really wasn't in need of any renovations to begin with! It was nearly perfect: a low-key combination of greens, trees, picnic tables, easily walkable piers along the harbor, and a reasonable amount of parking. But hey, who needs parking in a tourist center, right? Especially parking that is especially convenient for older citizens, who make up a decent percentage of the off-season crowds? So here we are, just a few days before the summer season begins, and instead of a pleasant park we have rows of noisy dump trucks, blocked off access, and 50% fewer car spaces. Good move! I'm sure the local shop owners, who suffered through a rough summer last year, will be thrilled. Newburyport is our favorite port town, but instead we'll take our business to Portsmouth, where they don't actively try to...
