The Bartlet Mall (pronounced ‘Mal’) and frog pond is a wonderful sight for all to enjoy. Over-shadowed by the Bullfinch-designed brick courthouse, the pond features a massive architectural cast iron fountain that looks over a large grassy area, circular walkways and hills, and park benches to gaze or enjoy a picnic on. There is even an artillery cannon, a relic from WWI guarding the complex. It’s a very quiet place for reflection, and it can’t compete with the waterfront, but still, a gem of a spot. Free on-street parking on Greenleaf St. Bathrooms are sadly missing.

📍Bartlett Mall - Newburyport, MA This playground is fully fenced, has all-inclusive accessible playground features (inclusive swing, gradual ramps, varied textures/sounds), poured in place rubber, and half basketball court! It is in direct sun throughout as the day goes on and is street parking only.

If it’s winter, you are in for a treat! This pond freezes over and you can come down and play a game of pick up hockey just about anytime of day when the sunlight is out.

Beautiful little park. Plenty of benches and trees for shade. The little walking trails are nice. I especially enjoyed looking at the pond and seeing all of the turtles. The pond is gorgeous and well maintained. There is no swimming allowed. The fountain in the middle of the pond is also very cool. It's a nice scenic area in the middle of Newburyport. It's very convenient to get to, and has plenty of street...
