Worst service ever. Food never shows up and they wont replace it. I will never order from here again. Edit: Ok. I will reconsider this review and add a bit more. Your choice to use Grubhub to deliver food, and the fact that you were "very busy" is not my problem as a customer. I am pretty sympathetic to customer service however when I am told that it is "Not my problem" (literally your words, or whoever I spoke to on the phone) that sympathy dries out instantly. Your business chose to contract with Grubhub and your site directed me to Grubhub to have it delivered. When the girl did not deliver the food and we ask you to remake it AND we will come pick it up, I think that is a pretty fair ask, and then you can deal with Grubhub directly to get reimbursed for the double order. What you shouldn't do is tell the customer it is not your problem. So yes, it was the worst customer service experience. Then for you to respond to my review to cry about you being the victim because you were busy and it's not your fault? Please. Spare me the theatrics. You did not literally do everything you could do. You literally did nothing at all. You literally gave me a horrible customer service experience, you literally ruined the end of the night for me, and oh by the way? It was my birthday! Happy Birthday to me! WORST...
Read moreThe young man was rude when we ordered. We should have walked out at that point, but we hoped it would be good despite the poor service. We ordered two lunch specials. One lunch special of sweet and sour chicken with white rice and one lunch special of General Tso chicken with fried rice. We also ordered a side pan fried noodles with no meat or veggies. Our total came to $27, were shocked by the price since the online menu said $7 lunch specials. We paid and waited. We picked up our food. The bag was much bigger than what our order should be, if they were lunch specials. We told the guy that we ordered lunch specials when we saw how big the bag was. The employee didn't bother to even answer. We got back to our office and opened containers. The pan fried noodles had vegetables and meat, and most of the noodles were not cooked. The General Tso chicken was Kung Pao, even though the guy at the counter spoke perfect English. The Kung Pao chicken was flavorless. The sweet and sour chicken was overcooked, the sauce tasted like vinegar and the white rice was dry and chewy. The fried rice was overcooked and flavorless. Our experience was truly awful from beginning to end. Expensive, terrible service AND awful food. I would give it 0...
Read moreMy family have been ordering from Golden Pearl now since 2006 when we first moved to Utah and have loved the dishes. We've ordered dinner at least once a week either for ourselves or when having friends over and its been so easy easy to just pick up the phone and it be ready within 15 minutes. It takes some getting used to when the monotone no personality guy on the other end of the phone makes you think you're talking to a robot. If you read the positive reviews you'll notice that they are now more than 2 years old. I'm not sure whats happened over there at Golden Pearl but it has quickly gone downhill for some reason. The past 6 months we've tried to get past the bland tasting dishes thinking the chef might have had an off night but no. Its been months and the dishes all taste the same, bland. The mongolian beef is just all onions, wheres the beef? No flavor, no flavor, no flavor!!! Nothing tastes good anymore! Golden Pearl you probably dont care about this one bad review but I'm sure more will start coming in. I wish you guys were still good but it looks like we will be looking elsewhere for our next chinese...
