St John's Anglican — Attraction in Salt Lake City

St. John's is wonderful church grounded in the Bible and liturgy yet still open to the working of the Holy Spirit. It is welcoming to visitors, even visitors who are new to Anglicanism or to liturgical services. Children are welcome and celebrated!

A typical service includes songs of praise, the reading of scripture, a sermon based on the scripture reading, a declaration of faith, a time of confession, the proclamation of forgiveness, and eating at the Lord's table together for the Eucharist.

I want to share that I was born and raised a Mormon, married in the Salt Lake City Temple. I converted to the biblical Jesus in Dec. 2019 by reading the Epistles of Paul in the New testament. I had a long, spiritual journey out of Mormonism and was baptized by Pastor James Linton on Easter 2021 in the Hyatt hotel swimming pool. I definitely have been born again!
