T & T Nails — Attraction in Salt Lake City

I have been coming to T&T to get my nails done for 4 years. I get a mani every two weeks and add on a pedi once a month. In the past 4 years I have spent over $5,000 here. I will not be going back ever again.

Sometimes it is busy. Sometimes it takes time to get a nail tech because they accept walk-ins all the time. Sometimes there is a language barrier. It is not the place to go for a relaxing spa experience. But not of this bothered me because I could generally get a quality gel mani/pedi in under an hour for a reasonable price. My manicures would last 2+ weeks and my pedicures would last a month or more.

However the past two times I ran into the following issues:

I was there during a surprise inspection. Turns out that one of the girls they had doing pedicures was not licensed. They tried to get her to hide in the back but they got caught and she had to go home. The manager was doing my pedicure at the time of the inspection and she left me sitting there with one foot painted for almost an hour while she sorted it out.

My last pedicure took almost 2.5 hours. The girl doing my nails kept making mistakes and had to re-do my big toe 4 times. My manicure was done in 25 minutes. The pedicure should not have taken that long. Finally I had to ask her (kindly) to please just wrap up because I had not budgeted for over 2 hours and had somewhere to be.. She got upset, stormed off leaving my big toe unpainted and someone else had to come finish.

My past two manicures have been horrible. One chipped within 3 days and the other chipped on my way out to the car. This was after already having spent 2.5 hours on a pedicure so I didn't have time to go right back in. Manicures chip. I get it. And usually they are good about fixing them right away.

The first time, I went back in and they fixed it with no fuss and no charge. No problem. The second time I went back in and they were a little busy. I told them what happened and was told "we are too busy, come back later." I had already gone out of my way to go back and told them that I wouldn't mind sitting down and waiting. I was then told that I "can't sit down and wait. We are too busy. You will come back later," and I was practically pushed out the door. It was poor customer service not to mention embarrassing

So. That's 3 strikes. ...

This nail salon isn’t my normal preference, I only came here a few times when I got off work late because they accept walk ins on a regular basis. That being said I will not return. The last two times I went were horrible.

My first bad experience was when I got a full set and also a pedicure. A few days after I got a rash on my toes and hands/fingers, I had painful little red bumps alll over my feet and hands which Was caused due to them not sterilizing the materials.

I never returned until a few weeks ago, my nail salon I always go to was booked so I came here again just because they accept walk ins. I totally regret coming and it was definitely my bad judgement for going even though last time i got a rash. I thought it wouldn’t happen again.

Now my pedicure is really bad, my toenail fell off and I have two toe nails that are lose, they’re basically hanging off which is pretty scary to me. I looked up on the internet the possible causes and some articles said toenails can fall off by the nail tech not properly using the pedicure tools. I willl never return and really urge people to reconsider ever coming here!! They do not sanitize their materials and constantly have walk ins so they don’t even clean the tools, one after the other they use the same tools without...

I would not give a start if I didn't have to honestly I loved that place went there for a about a year with Tina get my nails don't religiously, I just paid 95 Dollars that get my nails and toes done I had a appointment at 11:30 I don't go back till around 12 then they do my nails have me sit back down and wait to do my toes, while I have my baby I don't leave there till around 2:30 almost three I hate the color witch I do feel like she kept telling me that it looked so great, just to get me out the door I leave and call they tell me that I have to pay again to change a color that I hate witch I get that I should have said something while I was there but my baby was extremely fuzzy close to the end, I just wanted to leave I go back today and she said laughing! You picked the color there is not a lot that we can do you have to pay I said wow I have to pay after I just paid so much she said well I should have not gotten that color it's so sad that after a year of going they couldn't change the color on my toes then she tells me she can't see me till later on mind you I live in...
