Buddy's Toys & Collectibles — Attraction in San Antonio

I used to love this place and would come here regularly to support a small business while maintaining my collecting hobby, but I’ve now gotten to the point where I don’t think i’ll be coming here anymore. The place has it’s quirks such as high prices, low offers for anything you bring in, and rarely anything new, but this was easy to overlook with such friendly staff. The staff is still friendly, all except one worker. This one worker in particular is the exact reason I plan on no longer visiting as every time I come in he acts very rude and short. He’s usually always sitting down being unproductive and never bothers to greet. Along with this, anytime I’ve had to interact with him, he has an attitude of someone who seems bothered to do their job. I’m not sure if it’s just me he acts this way with, but it’s a regular occurrence and I’ve never had any problems with this business prior. I regularly stop by this place, but today was the final straw as he once again talked to me like I was some sort of nuisance and with a very rude attitude when I simply tried asking him questions in regards to something I was trying to purchase. Again, I have never had problems here and usually enjoy stopping by, but because of the regular attitude of this one employee I will no longer be...

I stopped by randomly after visiting a store nearby, that was a good choice. Buddy, Freddy, Russell, and Pete were all very friendly (hopefully I spelled their names correctly). I walked around their store, very clean and modern layout, spacious, I liked the professional layout.

Nice cool AC temperature, there's a huge selection of game figurines/figures including a massive selection of Transformers toys (including rares!), some signed/autographed Funkos, big selection of Funko Pops overall, good selection of rare figures (big box, new in box).

I liked their pricing model, while I thought one of their pieces was moderately priced, they will work with you if you're serious about making a purchase. I liked that. They're not super rigid, they check online and on an app to confirm prices.

Freddy was very approachable, friendly, and professional. Russell was very personable, loved talking with him. Buddy seemed more serious and business focused which I don't blame him, he did give me a free button which was nice of him (thank you). I purchased two pins to add to my collection, and I'm glad I stopped in today.

I would recommend checking out Buddy's Toys & Collectibles. Had a good community local feel to it, some of the other patrons seemed like regulars/good...

Everyone in the Universe, Now hear thus!!!! Buddy's Roy's is the only place to be ... Undeniably the heavyweight champion toy store of the world and Galaxy. The owners and the employees are absolutely by far superior to none simple questions answered ,executive questions answered.... All with respect... They understand the levels of the human race and their need for modern to vintage toys and other goods to not experience this place is to never have watched Star wars or Jason and Freddy or Pikachu or transformers. They have made their world available to us and with much great respect I am honored to have gone there it's the best toy store I think I've ever been in with the friendliest people around and that's all there's to it check it out go see it they are awesome and more than reasonable when it comes to pricing and the range of toys and figures and you name it it's there they've got it.
